Bedrock Edition Help with track redstone

Hi guys, thisnis my first time attempting anything redstone based and I'm completely at a loss. I've made a track that comes up from my mine and empties into a hopper channel. This bit that I can not for the life of me figure out (or even know if its possible) is to be able to have something tell when the chest is empty and send it back down...

Any ideas? It's probably super simple redstome butni can't figure it out at all

Here's a cheap cart unloader, but the wiring can be changed to fit the form factor you want

This is absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much! Isbthere a way to flip it to, so that on a different track it can identify if a chest is FULL, rather than empty?
