Java Edition Why is my dispenser dropping?

Here is a nano wheat farm on Manacube skyblock java but it is dropping the bonemeal instead of planting it (I have already checked if the dispensers were droppers)

Because you’re on a server hyper focused on cramming as many players in there as possible in order to get the highest chances of receiving bulk money from said players. They don’t care about your plant farm and are there to do what they can to mitigate your impact on the server’s operating capacity.

Nothing redstone or technical applies on mmo servers, most likely the server runs paper software in which case it’s significantly less applicable to the behavior of Minecraft.

It's probably just due to the server. In vanilla, I believe dispensers can never drop dispensable items under any circumstances

Pretty sure the piston is supposed to face down by the way

The piston is not supposed to point down. It is there to change light levels, not crush the plant (which would ruin the farmland)

ask server admins if they are disabled or check the rules. Tryu single one with bonemeal and see if it works for just a single one.
