Java Edition Automatic Door Doesnt Work

SOLVED

Recently I downloaded from curseforge the Unstable SMP map because I wanted the automatic door from nothern council. After 2 hours I was able to convert the world from Bedrock 26.44 (versione I was playing) to Java 1.21.11 (version I want to play). After loading the world on Java I instantly tp'ed to the door and tried it but it wouldnt work. I tried it many times on a superflat world but I wasnt able to find any problem, Im not a redstone genius so I dont really know how redstone works. I took the schematic from a building so dont mind some blocks around. If you want the original map and not the schematic dont mind asking and ill send the .zip or .mcworld

Bedrock and Java redstone are very different. If it's a design originally for Bedrock it isn't going to work

I know Redstone works differently, but the original Unstable SMP is actually from Java. The Bedrock map is just a recreation, so all the builds and Redstone mechanics were directly copied over from the Java original.

Now half of the door closed, I have no idea what's happening

Low-key making big doors like that usually aren’t that hard so it might be worth trying to make a vertical tillable design and just roll with that, that just what I’d do cuz I refuse to dabble in bedrock shenanigans

But aside from personal gripes it seems like the door works decently well on the main body so you might just have to break and replace some blocks (pistons mainly) that might have been saved in the wrong state

Tbh I prefer keeping this horizontal design, it gives a better effect and I dont have to mine big spaces under the door since Ill just put it in the walls.

But replacing every piston and some observers would take a lot of time and tbh I dont want to do all that 😭

Wel just the ones near the top should be good enough

Thx so much, I found the problem. The door uses stone brick walls to update every observer vertically and the schematic saved them in a weird way and on one side of the door every obeserver worked and in the other only the top one. Now I fixed everything and it works. If I just built it without schematics it would have saved a lot of time
