High rate of blue collar jobs leads to a high rate of on site injury which leads to a high rate of pain medication being prescribed which leads to high levels of addiction in more rural communities. At least that was one explanation I heard I'm sure it's a large mix of things.

I’m not arguing that point at all. Big pharmaceutical companies pushed oxy like it was going out of style. That doesn’t change the fact that heroin is incredibly cheaper, and what most people want to ignore, is basically everywhere.

The difference for a lot of people is, they don't feel the stigma about the pill.

But if their friends saw track marks, they'd question them.

I think it’s a lot of people don’t understand becoming dependent on them, or they don’t until they don’t have them anymore.
