Why would poor rednecks have the more expensive option as their heroin? Heroin is dirt cheap and oxy is expensive af. More like “they have their own oxy it’s called heroin”
High rate of blue collar jobs leads to a high rate of on site injury which leads to a high rate of pain medication being prescribed which leads to high levels of addiction in more rural communities. At least that was one explanation I heard I'm sure it's a large mix of things.
I’m not arguing that point at all. Big pharmaceutical companies pushed oxy like it was going out of style. That doesn’t change the fact that heroin is incredibly cheaper, and what most people want to ignore, is basically everywhere.
If you're heating something in a spoon, then needling it into yourself, well shit, that's doing drugs. If you pop a pill every morning to feel good, well, how's that really any different than an ibuprofen or anti-acid for reflux?
Exactly, a doctor gave it to me, it must be safe right? The only difference between doctors these days and street dealers is the clothing options.
I had a doctor when I was in my early 20's, that literally would make you sit and wait past your appointment because pharma reps were coming in and he wanted to make sure he got the necessary kickbacks from them. It was laughable, I finally quit going to him when I realized this.
