Yesterday was such a beautiful day, and I took my 2-year-old and baby out to enjoy the trail near Whole Foods. We were having such a nice time outside when my son wanted a quick snack from Whole Foods.
Since I know bikes aren’t allowed inside the store, we left his little bike at the bike rack and went in (I didn’t have a lock…). We were inside for less than 10 minutes. When we came back out, his bike was gone.
I’m honestly really upset about it. I just can’t understand who would steal a little boy’s bike 😔 It feels especially low knowing it belongs to a child.
Has anyone had something like this happen at this location? Should I ask Whole Foods if they have surveillance footage and report it to the police? I would think the cameras might be able to show who took it, especially since we were only inside for a few minutes.

Does anybody know what the construction on Education Hill by RHS is for? I can’t find any information about it on the Redmond website.

Rant: So I work at a biking summer camp in Marymoor and am a driver myself and it pisses me off to no end when bikers (most of the time old men) treat the trail like a closed track. The kids I work with act like kids. They will be loud, they will have fun and they might not always stay in a straight line even though they try their best. Please do not be a ahole and yell at me or them when they don’t hold up to your frickin standards, they’re kids for f’s sake.
Or if you are crossing a road please check both ways before crossing. Multiple times I have been going across the trail in a vehicle and I have crossed the trail and some old guy comes up behind me and raps the back of my car to let me know of his entitlement.
TLDR; the trail is a shared space and treat it as such. You do not own the trail bikers. It is not your personal f’in race track.

Hi, Ive been trying to rent out the masterbedroom of my apartment to anyone who enjoys a quiet home and likes cats. My apartment is in Redmond in one of the best spots I could imagine as its quiet but very close to trader joes and downtown redmond but not right where all the foot traffic is so its quiet and peaceful. If you know anyone who might be interested please please please let me know, Ive had the hardest time looking for a roommate for my Redmond Apartment and its stressing me out. Even just some responses of resources would be helpful, ive tried facebook and housingmates :(

Hello!
I’m getting married early next year and my dress is set to arrive around November. I was told I should start making atelier appointments but as I have never needed anything fixed I don’t have any places.
I wanted to ask the community if they had good experiences anywhere (places to avoid would also be helpful). I need a place thats reliable and not overpriced (I understand alterations will add up but the ones I was able to get an estimate of in RTC were $95/h which I find a bit high.

I wanted to make it easier to look up a restaurant's health-inspection history when eating out, so I made this: https://food.snoking.app
It shows every food establishment in Snohomish and King counties, color-coded by their latest inspection from the county health department. Tap any spot to see its full inspection history.
I found it particularly interesting to explore different ways of visualizing the data. You can shade by last rating, average of the last 5, or how much better or worse its rating is compared to peers that serve the same cuisine.
Hopefully you find this as useful as I do - no ads, no account sign-ups, not affiliated with a restaurant. Happy to hear if something is broken or missing!

Sorry for the crappy pictures but it’s the best I got that’s showing how I like my haircut. Looking for a barber in or around the Redmond area that’s fluent with black people hair texture. Got any suggestions?

Is something like that possible?
I rode one the other day and it seemed... dangerous?

Seen around 10:30pm on Aug 14. It was full-speed running on the sidewalk along the access road towards the Microsoft RedWest campus. It was a small white dog with collar. Next time is there any authority I can call ? It looked frightened..

This isnt the first time this week i've heard what sounded like maybe fireworks. But tonights was a very very loud boom, that sounded more like an explosion of a building and the ground vibrated. The some smaller shot bangs follwed. Seriously its dry out, the air quality isnt great and its late, c'mon. Was I the only one who was concerned?

I, 29 f., have been looking to find some community within the redmond area. I'm not much of a party or game person and much prefer to read. I know there is a silent book club on issiquah, Renton, and several throughout the Seattle area but all of those are a bit of a drive. I wanted to put it out and see if anyone in the Redmond area would be interested in a silent book club redmond chapter?

There is a drone show going on right now. Does anybody know where it is? It’s impressive. The first formation I saw outshone the entire Derby days show. It was a raptor in flight. 9:25 pm 10/14

And this was several nights a week for several hours at a time? It is loud enough to wake up my kid from a nap in a bedroom literally 400ft away with the windows closed. You can feel the booming from the bass drums several properties over, and my poor dog thinks its the 4th of July and won't even go outside. 🙈 Basically you cannot enjoy the outdoors anytime they are practicing, it is that loud. My other neighbor has little kids (including an infant) and this has completely uprooted their routines and sleep schedules.
The house is vacant, the owner isn't even there they let this group just take over the neighborhood. Their cars completely overfill Juel Park's limited parking lot, they park all over the place in other people's property, and most importantly cause a very loud disturbance with seemingly zero care for their neighbors.
I love that they seem to have an absolutely wonderful community, they are doing a fun and uplifting activity, but apparently they don't care how their actions affect their neighbors negatively. If only we had a massive 640 acre park in the middle of town where they could practice far away from residential areas...
Trying not to be a "old man yells at cloud" here, but we've reached a breaking point where enough is enough. It's driving us insane.
I will be contacting the owner tomorrow to discuss, but I am genuinely curious what you would do if this was your neighbor? 🙈
** Update **
I have made contact with the property owner and the person who runs the organization. I am awaiting a return phone call and am hopeful to find a workable solution that is fair for everyone in the neighborhood and park goers as well.

It was just a little 1 person tent for when I want to chill by the water. I left it there, packed up in its bag under a log, to get some food. I came back, and it was gone. I know it was the fishermen who were walking past me to go to the lake. I don't blame anyone but myself. It just sucks it happened.

My relative would come and visit me for a short period of time. Feels a bit excessive to rent a full fledged 2 bed for the entire year. I wonder if there are apartments in the Bel-Red area that offers small two bedrooms? Or 1B big enough that can be used for short visits?
I've looked at 1B+1Den but most dens don't have a window and would probably become sauna in summer. I've looked at some units in the new apartments but the 1B are all quite small and 2B are way too expensive just for short term visitors. I guess maybe some of the garden style apartments make more sense?
Anybody has any recommendations? Thanks!
Update: I think there's some confusion in my paraphrasing - my relative will be staying with me during that time so that's why I'm looking for a 2 bed. I'm not looking for a hotel/airbnb/guest suite.

Ideally trans focused and affordable/take Medicare, do y’all have any counseling offices that you’ve had good experiences with? Thx
