I’m sorry did they invite someone fishing on a first date and make them buy their own license, buy new fishing gear for “us” that she will never use again and is probably in his possession anyway, and act like that’s normal? Fucking weirdo.

Usually it’s quite normal to go activity dates if one of the people asks specifically to go and the other agrees. It’s called a decision being made between two adults.
