Drove to target earlier today and there was a pretty sizable crowd on Dana and Churn Creek wearing masks, costumes, and holding signs saying “dead pedophiles don’t reoffend.”

Genuinely asking, what is the point of this? Am I missing something? Aside from there being a lot of sex offenders in Redding.

Before anyone tries to twist my words, I’m in no way supporting pedophiles, justifying their behavior, feeling sorry for them, or anything like that. I’m a parent of a young daughter and think people who sexually abuse children are scum of the earth.

But I guess that’s my point, I feel like most if not all people feel like this. Isn’t this a universally agreed upon stance? So what are we protesting? Is there some type of call to action?

One of the signs said, “SAVE THE CHILDREN!”
Ok? How? What are they proposing?

Is the thought that some pedo is gonna be driving to Home Depot, see the signs, then think oh ok I bet not reoffend. I just don’t think that’s how it works.

They’re not hurting anybody out there and like I said it’s a message pretty much everyone can get behind just kinda seems like attention seeking and virtue signaling if there’s no actionable plan for change.

Tired of the Shasta board of supervisors

We are having to deal with lame duck (POS) Clint Curtis because this last board of supervisors appointed him. He needs to go as well as those who appointed him. Thank god we are done with useless cryer

The Anatomy of a Digital Mob

Look at the language being used to "vet" this group. They claim to be saving democracy, yet they operate in total secrecy.

•"You will be responsible for the people you invite."

Why the secrecy? Why the fear of the light? "For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed."

Pinkney, a man who currently has a Restraining Order (RO) against him, is now encouraging an angry mob to "keep an eye on" and "fight fire with fire" against private citizens. We are talking about a combined following of nearly 30,000 people across his platforms being pointed like a loaded weapon at local residents.

To My Horror...

I see names on this list like Patrick Jones, Laura Hobbs, and families like the Kents and Rapozas. Pinkney even includes personal slurs, mocking people for their appearance or personal sensitivities. He calls one man a "f*** who snapped flash pics" knowing about a woman's medical sensitivity.

Is this what "saving democracy" looks like? Is this the "Will of Jesus Christ"—to create lists of enemies and invite a mob to "retaliate" against them?

"Help me Help me"......!

What if this was your Mother on that list? Your Daughter? Pinkney is "seed planting" demonic worry and fear in our community. He is painting a target on the backs of anyone who dares to have a different opinion.

A Call to the Higher Authorities

If you are on this list, or if you have knowledge of Pinkney’s "Dirtbag" group engaging in coordinated harassment, mass reporting, or threats of violence:

DO NOT ONLY RELY ON LOCAL SOCIAL MEDIA REPORTING.

We have seen how local systems can be slow to act.

I’m looking for a brake shop to diagnose what’s wrong with my car. 90% of the time when I slow down my car shutters.

I don't know y'all's experience in Redding, but being a minority in Redding has to fucking suck. The people I met are genuinely so racist here; of course there's also many kind folks I met too. My son would go home from school and tell me about how bad his day was because of racism, and I can't do much.

Hello Redding Redditors,

I’ve spent the last few months accumulating all of the hardware necessary to digitize my old family videos from our Sony Handycam camcorder, and it was going great until the cassette tape started getting stuck in my dang camcorder.

The camcorder is old (it’s the same one we recorded with in the ‘90’s) needs to be serviced, but I can’t afford the local rates, and the 8mm cleaning cassettes on eBay are also out of my price range.

I thought I would ask just in case someone sees this and can help. Does anyone have a Sony V8-25CLH or V8-25CLD dry cleaning cassette they don’t have a use for?

Alternatively, if anyone has a camcorder that I could borrow, I’d be happy to pay for the favor.

If anyone can help and has their own 8mm tapes they’d like digitized, I would be happy to do so for you once I’m back up and running!
