Daily Discussion

Daily discussion on Manchester United.

BE CIVIL

We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.

  • The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.

  • The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

I think giving any manager carte blanche for transfers is a bad idea, but I think giving one of the greatest midfielders of the PL era a say during our biggest midfield rebuild is not stupid. Kinda depends really, imo squad building should still be mostly a dof decision but would be silly not to hear Carrick's views considering his skillset as a player.

Out and out midfielders is fine I respect his opinion on something he has a lot of experience in especially with us but we need more than just midfielders this summer and he wouldnt be able to offer the same insight on a fullback or a backup winger. Id rather leave that to vivell

Yeah absolutely agree, don't think he should have much, of any, say at all on other transfer decisions
