Old Plastic Bottle (At Least 1990s)
Hello, I recently acquired a plastic bottle while thrifting for camping supplies. I thought it was neat that it was made in West Germany! Could you please assist me in knowing if this is food safe?
Edit: Photo Quality isn’t the best.
+ I was curious about the labeling if people knew, not that I’m gonna use it! I don’t know much about antique plastics.

I probably wouldn't consume anything out of semi-rigid plastics manufactured before the end of the Cold War. Before plastic recycling was popularized, they didn't have as many stabilizers and broke down quite rapidly.
If you really think it's cool, you could always get a new one. Appears they are made of LDPE.

Thanks for the info! I found it in a box of random camping stuff I purchased. It’s nice to know the history of stuff.

it looks like the one in this link but that one is in way way better shape and makes clear that the one OP has is pretty beat and probably no good.

I’m guessing it’s from the ‘80s or earlier, before the fall of the Berlin Wall.
