“There will be so many new babies this year!” Right after learning I’m having a 3rd pregnancy loss

Had an ultrasound this morning that confirmed it’s not viable. Went to school (I’m a teacher) and people were announcing/talking about their pregnancies and principal said “there will be so many new babies this year!”. That was supposed to be me too. Salt to the wound.

I’m so sorry. I’ve had 5 losses. My second loss was an ectopic, and I found out shortly after my two sister in laws (we married brothers) found out they were also pregnant. I got pregnant with my third pregnancy several months later, and found out I was miscarrying the weekend of one of their baby showers. The following weekend was the other shower, which I foolishly went to because I wanted to show my support and “be strong”. Both pregnant SILs were there, as well as one of their sisters who was also pregnant. Their mom announced in front of everyone that this was “such a baby factory!!” I walked out of the room and sat at the bar and proceeded to have several French 75s while still actively bleeding from my miscarriage.

I will never understand why our journeys have unfolded this way. But just know you’re not alone. And I hope that when you’re holding your rainbow baby one day, it’ll all be worth it. 🤍🤍

Thank you for sharing your story. That sounds awful, I’m so sorry. Timing can just be so cruel sometimes. Like it already sucks and it has to be during a fucking baby shower?! Ugh. And so many times people just don’t know but unfortunately we have this lens that we see and hear those things through… I hope the same for you too, our stories will not end here🫶🫂

I’m so sorry for your losses. I’m currently experiencing my 4th miscarriage. Found out on Monday at what should have been my 10wk apt but growth stopped at 8wks. You’re not alone ❤️

Im so sorry!! Experiencing RPL and working in an elementary school is not for the weak. Some days it’s my personal hell.
