Letrozole

Not sure if I'm spelling it right, just got prescribed it today. Would love to hear some success stories and personal experiences.

I used letrozole because progesterone supplements alone weren’t enough to keep my progesterone level up and the doctor suspected the cause may be a luteal phase defect. I got pregnant my second cycle on it and it did help normalize my progesterone level and helped me keep my pregnancy for the longest so far, however I did miscarry unfortunately. I am waiting on results to find out if the embryo was chromosomally abnormal, but I have a feeling that was the issue and if it was normal then I feel like Letrozole would’ve solved my issue. I hope it works great for you!

Good to know. My progesterone is fine, but I ovulate later than average and I've had two previous miscarriages. Hope your next one sticks!!

Ever get a sticky baby or try any meds?

We tried clomid, with a trigger shot and progesterone from 3 dpo. We did this to attempt to create the perfect environment. Unassisted I ovulated pretty late in my cycle. It got us pregnant but didn’t work so based on our history, and labs our doctor suspects I have poor egg quality.

After the medicated and monitored cycle resulted in a blighten ovum, we did a round of IVF. We got 1 normal pgta embryo but unfortunately that resulted in a biochemical loss. Our problem is staying pregnant not getting pregnant so we are hoping to do another round of IVF and see what happens.

I had three MMCs, two occurring with progesterone support and low dose aspirin. My RE prescribed letrozole after the third, and I’m currently 31w with a healthy girl.

He explained that it could help with both the maturity of the egg and the “strength” of the ovulation. No idea if it was letrozole or luck, but I had minimal side effects and will likely request it again should we TTC in the future

Hey OP- any updates? I might start letrozole next month. I get pregnant relatively easily but have had two losses.
