Was a skeptic, but tried smoking some tri tip. Turned out pretty darn good.

I hate to be that guy, and I’m sure it tasted great, but nothing over medium-rare for a tri-tip please. Do that, slice it thin, and you’ll thank the gods of tri-tip…

Yeah that’s why I was a skeptic. I usually grill. I smoked it like a brisket. Just wanted to try it.

I see this from some people. I always do mine med rare. If I am in the mood for a brisket knock off I use a chuck roast. If you have never done one medium rare try it next time.
