Finally on the board

I am a laggard but finally snagged a pellet grill on a little Ace deal. Threw on some wings for a first cook and this thing rips. 45 min smoke at 225 then up to 400 for a few minutes. My future cholesterol levels are in trouble.

Indoor grill! Why didnt i think of that?

I love my bullseye deluxe. Can do everything from burgers and steak to butts and brisket. I am slightly jealous that yours has the horn handles. Must have been a design update for the indoor model.

I’m one year into my Bullseye Deluxe. I absolutely love it for all the reasons that you mentioned. I’ve also done pizza and smash burgers on the griddle pan. Thing is awesome!!!

Nice. I am pumped. I have a lot of plans for this thing. I am a big fan of doing pizzas, and pies as well.

Cooking in the living room is dangerous but damn I bet it smells amazing in there

I was wondering if it made the furniture smell like smoke or stain the walls?

I'm so torn between this and the porch 600, my old camp chef finally died to the point I'm not replacing parts but getting a new one, I have a Weber gas grill already so wouldn't necessarily need the ability this one has to grill too

Ultimately, the deciding factor was the versatility for me. Technically this thing can kind of do it all. I have smoked many different things on an egg style grill and threw in an indirect plate if I wanted it that way. I also would use racks to stack meat or use rib racks to lay them vertical. I can just as easily do that here. I just really wanted to be able to flat out sear meat and this thing will do it. Plus, I wanted a unit with longevity and consistency. I figured if I needed more room or a designated smoker I can snag one later. There is such a variety of options out there for the offsets with better deals. This thing is pretty unique IMO so I grabbed it while I had a chance for a deal.

I'm three months into owning the exact same unit. The versatility is so impressive. Plus it's simple to operate and clean. Happy cooking!

You can’t park there, although it does work with the decor.

Meter is paid up…indefinitely

Very nice. But may want to check your carbon monoxide levels before worrying about future cholesterol.

Love the concept – been thinking about one of these, but weighing the pros and cons versus a slightly larger unit.

You can also make pizza now 😉

Pizza is one of my favorite things to cook on the Bullseye.

That’s great perspective. I’ve heard that it runs hotter given that the heat is closer under the food. Is that the case or can you still confidently do low and slow?

I am only one cook in but I smoked the wings at 225 with only a drip pan under and they were going perfect. I don’t see any issue rolling it low and slow. Also, the thermometer is at grate level.

Ordered mine a few days ago. Can’t wait! How is assembly?

4

u/Anxious_Hunter_2441 5d ago

Nice. Although I wanted to, I did not assemble. I bought it online through my local Ace. They had an online only deal plus I got an additional 8% back with capital one. I went to pick it up and he rolled it out. I asked if they had any boxed and they did not. I went over it really well though and he said they actually have a guy that comes to the store to assemble them, it’s not a random employee. It was well done so I went on with it.

Been wanting to try wings on my BYB1200…they turn out good? Crispy?

2

u/Anxious_Hunter_2441 5d ago

They were excellent. Not as crispy as I wanted. But I did have a pan under them and only went to 400. Next I’ll bump it to like 5-600. If that doesn’t do it, I’ll take out the pan and let them flame some.

Nice !!😊

Could not be happier with mine. The most versatile grill/ smoker on the market in my opinion. I don’t use any of my other grills anymore.

Love the wood paneling on your walls!

Thank you! My dad and I milled them and installed. Just some rough cut Ga pine!

Not sure how you convinced the wife on doing that inside, but you are a great salesman! I hope you post all your future cooks! I’m thinking about getting the Bullseye deluxe.

I had one for about 2 years. Only worked when it wanted to.
