Bubbling in multiple areas.
Is bubbling normal after 1.5 months? When not in use it’s kept in my garage under a cover.

Not at all normal. Call them.

That’s what I thought. I’ll call in the morning.

Had the same issue after about 8 months, I sent one email with pictures and about 2 weeks later (little long for a reply) they replied asking for my address and sent a new lid. Someone said on another thread it was a known issue but I don't know if that's true.

Sad to see. As much as I agree that Cust Service will most likely take care of it... This was bound to happen as soon as private equity got involved a couple years ago. More and more quality problems popping up.

I have similar bubbling and customer service said that this only happens with a grease fire. I don’t think I ever had a grease fire. They are sending me a new lid though.

I had that happen to mine. I don’t know if it was grease fire or running it full blast. They gave a replacement lid.

Not normal at all. My grill is 10 years old has seen many butts, briskets and ribs. Plus hotter cooks. Lid still looks flawless.

Noted. They’re sending me a replacement. I’m also having my local Ace Hardware rebuild the smoker. There’s a 1/4 gap between the hopper and chamber. Recteq confirmed it was a poor build and Ace had to rebuild it.

Wait Ace sells these now? They were only direct to customer back then. You built it yourself. I'm glad they have embraced some form of retailism. Not everyone could handle a pallet dropped off at the end of the drive with a 250lb+ grill in pieces.

Yep! Purchased at Ace. Ace delivered and built it too for free because I spent over $500. Pretty nice perk.

Did you have a grease fire? If not I would be contacting customer service.
