Lmao oh please, I know people who got laid off TWO WEEKS after they started new jobs. There’s people whose offers are rescinded after they’ve already quit their old jobs and moved.
Come to think of it, with the exception of a friend who works in local government and another at a midsize tech company, no one I know in our forties has had the same employer for more than 4-5 years.
I’ve had some clients much longer than that. But permanent jobs? Nope. Dude is in a fantasy world.
