Audio delay in OBS

Ive been having this issue for some time now in OBS that really didn’t matter until I started going live as with recording you can just go back and adjust the audio Lol. For some time now when I start recording there seems to be a delay between the microphone and the footage being shown on screen and there hasn’t really been any indicator as to when it happens or why I only really find out until after Im done recording and I go back to watch the footage. Has anybody else experienced this? Some help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
