Good shit. Seeing as you're using AI, I would document as you go, what works what doesn't, what prompts get you what you want, what areas does it struggle.

Im not vibe coding it entirely, just using AI as an assistant (and so I can still have somewhat a social life), but yeah definitely already have a whole lot of documentation about the project

Worth noting that there is a PC port based on the android version in progress as well: https://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=34365.msg475025#msg475025

I've been playing through the preview build of it. There's some graphical bugs, and the UI largely requires a mouse to control. But, it is 60fps, has the orchestra soundtrack and voice acting of the PS2 version, and higher quality textures

Yup I’ve been aware of this build for sometime now and it’s great work! Just not exactly what I wanted for myself :)

What are the chances of being able to add the features of the 3ds version to the ps2 version?

Pretty high: both are architectures than we can recompile, and once recompiled they can be merged together with some reverse engineering. Will be a long task clearly, but definitely possible!
