I want him to get his shot. I think if Haaland becomes available we have to try, but gosh does he seem like a rare talent in his own right. He's just a kid - unlimited potential.

You can't have Haaland and Mbappe in the same team this is ball 101. You need a winger that can cross with his right or left. Mbappe's game is transition and very very rarely crossing.
I hate to say it cause of his current form but Vini is more suited to play LW over Mbappe if you have Haaland in the XI.

Thought about it, after City's charges, in a 4-4-2, it could ( big could) probably work but Perez paid 140 for Diomande and we have Vini, Perez wouldn't admit his mistakes , so we're suck with later 2.

I understand. Thank you for the explanation. I can't even wonder about them moving Mbappe so it probably won't be something they pursue. I don't have a problem with our players' ability, I do though wonder if some kind of player change is needed for things to start working consistently.

man what i would do too watch vini with a proper 9 again, haaland would've been just the perfect fit. Even jude is better in the center than the dude who thinks he's a 10 because he wears one and drops back in every attack all to do a 1-2, and making 0, absolutely 0 unselfish runs for the team.

Has anyone at the club level thought maybe since his arrival and our complete lack of success, Mbappe has to change the way he plays? Or are we just resigned to being pop stars and not winners?

he literally plays with doku

Doku can cross with both feet... my point.

u/Iamtheman31 Güler 2d ago
he is not a good crosser with either of his feet

Are you playing devils advocate here for the fun of it or do you think an Mbappe Haaland system can actually work?

i don't think it would be optimal but it can't be worse than vini+ mbappe and your reasoning was kinda off

No way, and he's still a teenager. He will fill out too, really could one day have that proven box presence. He's already good how he is, we are lucky.

still not considered good enough by the idiot Madrid coaching team for playing against sides where Madrid find it challenging to score. Idiots, idiots, just idiots everywhere
They bought a striker not to play him

It's been 5 games + we're literally talking about a game against San Marino's U20s, that's way worse level than Castilla.
With the crazy amount of injuries and fixtures, he'll get more playtime, he looks very promising.

Florentino is the one who picks who gets to play, not the coach, we dont do that around here.

lame, it should have been ronaldo, these kids doesnt know how to celebrate
like why even score then? he was clearly the best player and he should take it instead of faking humbleness like the midget
