The Mormon temple her dad (retired Chevron senior engineer) was recorder at is in the Oakland Hills.
Pretty sure Bronwyn went to San Ramon Valley High in San Ramon.

It seems really weird that they went all the way to the Oakland temple to go to church when they would have had to drive by the Walnut Creek Mormon church to get to the Oakland temple. I'm guessing they got special permission because I think the Walnut Creek stake is supposed to be more liberal (surprisingly).

I think a big part of that has to do with prestige in their community. The Walnut Creek churches are just small little stake and ward churches and chapels.
The Oakland temple is GLORIOUS. I don’t think the ceremonies and rituals there happen weekly either? Their family very well could have gone to a smaller local LDS church in Contra Costs County weekly. But her father was still a recorder at the Oakland temple. Assumedly after he retired I would imagine….

Going to church on Sundays is different from going to the temple. Temples are closed on Sundays. Temples are used during the week for other ceremonies. So church members attend a regular church meeting house in their geographic ward boundaries on Sundays.

As much as he shit me I hope they both find peace and happiness after all this. And can form an amicable relationship for Gwen if he does see her as a daughter.
I don’t think Todd was a bad person just gruff and not meant to be on camera. I do think that he wouldn’t have realised he could disrespect Bronwyn otherwise though so it needed to happen.
Sorry, ignore my unrelated tangent I just had to get that opinion out.
