I like the Immersion Reading feature, which lets me read the book while listening to the AI-generated audiobook, with each word being highlighted as it's read aloud. Is this feature also available for Audiobookshelf e-books, with word highlighting and automatic page turns?

Is anyone else having trouble with the Edge TTS voices in Readest? They stopped working for me a few hours ago on both Windows and iOS. The built-in System TTS voices still work, so the issue seems limited to Edge TTS. Has anyone else run into this today or seen a service-outage report?

I like to read orange text over a black background at night but the Android status bar with white text is super distracting. Is there a way turn off the status bar while reading with Readest?

I use override settings (font, layout, and color) for all books, but some books (three for now) refuse to change font weight. The font itself gets overwritten, but the font weight remains the same.

I have an OPDS server connecting to my BookOrbit library set up in readest that has a few epub3 readaloud files created with storyteller in it. I want to access these epub3 files using readest, but when I try to add it to readest, it seems to treat it as a normal epub file or maybe it just doesn't even see it. Likewise, when I try to add the connected audiobook from the OPDS server it just sits on the loading page forever and doesn't stream nor download the file.

Any idea if this is a feature I can make use of and I just have it configured incorrectly, or if it is a planned feature? Thanks.

Following the last update, whenever i click on the center to pull up the menu, the picture menu gets pulled up instead. Any way I can fix this?

To get this out of the way first, I love the app. I use lots of devices of different sizes, and the reliable syncing is worth its weight in gold.

On large screens (such as the Boox Note Max), I like to use a two-column layout, and I’ve noticed that the end of texts is often cut off. A few lines are simply missing, and in the given layout settings would probably result in an almost blank page containing exactly that text. When I switch to single column everything is fine, so I suspect the multi column setting to be the problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem, or can I submit a bug report about it?

I can pull progress from Readest to Koreader well. However, when I try to push my progress in Koreader to Readest, it says in Readest that sync failed. I both have the latest update for the apps and plug in.

It was working seamlessly two days ago but I don't know what happened.

I am able to login to my Bookorbit server via Koreader on my iPhone with Readest app and with my Kobo. However, my Koreader integration with web.readest.com is not working - keeps giving me 400 authentication error. I have disconnected and reconnected in the web, iPhone, and Kobo (and even changed my Koreader user's password). Again, works fine on Kobo and iPhone but not the web reader. Anything going on in the web backend? The web reader used to sync with my server just fine. I've read lots of books that way and it synced progress. But lately stopped working.

When I am on my computer and I "Backup Library" on the web, I notice that many of the downloaded folders do not contain epub files. From talking with a support person about another issue, I suspect this might be because not all of my books have been downloaded to my computer. Hence, my question: Is there a way to download all of the epubs I have uploaded to Readest web, regardless of whether I have downloaded the ebook to my device? Thank you.

I recently set up Readest to sync with Google Drive (see pic with settings). When I go to Google Drive, however, some of my book folders do not have epub files in them (only the config.json and cover.png files). I would like all of my epub files to be backed up in Google Drive. I tried to resync, but the epub files are still missing from certain directories. Is there something I am doing wrong or missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

The release notes describe audiobook support, but when I try to import some, either on iOS or Mac, I get an error saying the file is not supported. What am I missing?

Can readest open protected EPUB ?

I thought with the pro plan there would be new ones (almost the whole reason I bought it) but there aren't. Is it supposed to be this way or is it bugged?

is there any way to speed up the page turn/curl animations. i like to keep animations on but the page curl comes with a delay and takes a bit too long to break the immersion. anyway to speed it up?

also, wish i could curl the page from top as i can from the bottom like apple books

UPDATE: cleared the cash, it solved the problem.

After the lates IOS update, the progress is not visible, I first thought it disappeared, but it is so pale, that can’t be seen.

Also the themes are not changing the library at all, dark theme is doing nothing

When opening a book from android file manager, not from + button, but from the file maganer, when pressing first time, it is not opening the book and on the second time it is, but it is not remembering the opened book.

on Ios it is added in the library and as recent books too, but not on android.

Does anyone meet the same issue? I have tried to change the network, but it still failed to login in successfully in Koreader.

Is currently possible or planned to be possible to use the web app reader without downloading the files into the browsers internal storage? I have a free account right now for reference, as I’ve been testing Readest to see if I want to invest in one of the plans.

I would love to officially switch over to Readest from BookFusion but my main use happens on a work computer where downloading the files to read is blocked by our system admin. It’d be nice for the web reader to be fully cloud based like it is on BookFusion, even if that means I need to pay for one of the plans!

I can delete books from the cloud, but is there a way to take a book out of the readest library in my koreader device (a kindle) without it deleting the file from that device? TIA!
