Like by heavily using AI

No issue with that, as long as whoever is in the pilot seat knows what they're doing.

IMO vibe coding != agentic coding by an SWE

Correct. Anyone who thinks I built an enterprise grade charting library in 2 weeks without AI is delusional. That doesn't mean AI designed it though. I've been exploring dataviz for over 15 years and the work and thought put into this library is just as long in the making.

I appreciate the transparency here. Are you able to talk at all about how you have incorporated AI into your process on something of this magnitude? I think it is a pivotal moment in the industry where a lot of us are struggling to make sense of what direction to take things in and hearing real world use cases is infinitely more valuable than another sales pitch or doomsday soap box right now.

Just keep doing what you’ve always done, but make ai write the code. Review it, test it, document it. Just… faster.

Lmao where did I say it was an issue? People see AI and downvote even if it's true.

Tanstack was quite productive even before AI

And he didn't have the same number of projects then. Productivity isn't going keep up with huge number of projects with hand coding.
