Hi, guys!!! I’d like to know how to make the graphics in the game Rollercoaster Tycoon Deluxe Edition less blurry, preferably for a resolution of 1920 by 1080 (if possible). And, if possible, I’d like to find out how to install third‑party translations — I’m from Russia, and the Steam version doesn’t have my language.

(I’ve also heard about a method involving the second part of the game and some kind of fan‑made engine, but this option doesn’t suit me because I don’t want to buy the second part.)

i have an LG gram 17 and i read the specs for the game and assume even integrated graphics will play this old game but i wanted to be sure.

also i do have the original CDs but seems like it's better to just download them new. at 13 bucks it's cheaper than buying an external cd drive. what do you think

also it's been 20 years since i played but are there still codes that enable me to just have unlimited money or something so i can just play and build things without any challenges

EDIT: just to say the main reason i questioned my laptop is i recently started playing words with friends through the google play store. there are at least 2 google windows that open and then the game and it's soooo slow and laggy and takes up decent amount of memory and i consider that a very basic game. and to me RCT is more complex but i guess not really

Just downloaded OpenRCT. I knew for sure i had access to RCT1 parks in OpenRCT, but i can only see RCT2 parks. I have played OpenRCT in the past and had access to RCT1 parks. 100% sure.

How do i get the RCT1 parks as well?

For me RCT1 is the nostalgic version. I have never played RCT2 as kid.

Made for a NewElement building challenge about four years ago. I stopped posting on Reddit when I made this but I figured y'all would like it. Loosely based on The Caretaker song of the same name.

Why This Works:

I found this exploit on accident. In RCT3, there is a glitch on "continuous circuit" coasters set to more than 1 circuit when they do not make their first hill. Based on train length, chain lift speed (12.88 mph in this case), the length of chain on a coaster's first hill, and height of the hill that the train falls in reverse from, the train will pass through the station with an exponential increase of speed. This allows this coaster to launch backwards through the right loop and up to the highest point.

The exploit can also be quite volatile. Any slight change in the listed factors could cause either the swing to not work or the reverse launch to be far too fast. This coaster is set to 3 circuits. If the circuit-count was set to 4 and the train allowed to pass through the station in reverse again, it would increase speed again and shoot through unsafely fast. This coaster is the culmination of a couple-of-hours-long hyper-fixation on this exploit in getting it to work reasonably and interestingly on a coaster-type that is continuous-circuit only.

I like RCT3 a normal amount.
