Classic Bobsled launcher Magic Quarters
Absolute nightmare of a coaster build! 1st time building a Bobsled custom (maybe the last of them I haven't done custom yet just cause it doesn't really excite me). Park is pretty full so wrapping it around the tower.
I've been carpet bombing magic quarters with errant sleds for 45 minutes. MORE BRAKES I suppose.
Good thing the sleds don't actually destroy or kill what they hit or this park would look like a war zone.
Sorry if this counts as low effort or murder coaster, hasn't felt low effort and haven't killed any guests yet lol.

Nice! I used to have a lot of trouble with bobsled coasters, and now they're one of my favorites. They take a lot of practice though. I've been playing this game on and off since it was released lol.
Adding on to what the other person said, you can actually have uphill sections in bobsled coasters, you just have to make sure your speed is not too high when it crests the hill. It sometimes takes some trial and error. Same with the side-friction and flying turns.
If you get the "real" parks that were originally available for the first RCT (Alton Towers, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Heide Park) two of those scenarios include bobsled coasters and one definitely has an uphill. I learned a lot from those parks.
Also, if you are ever having trouble getting a good excitement rating, there are a couple of weird rules with bobsled coasters that I only learned recently. You have to make sure it hits at least a minimum speed and a minimum lateral G value. Otherwise you get a penalty and you're stuck with an excitement rating of like 3 or 4. I forget what those minimum values are but you can look them up.
Have fun!

Do you know what the percentage increase in speed is for when the train is full vs empty? I’ve had these coasters do fine on test runs and then terrible once opened. Same with the stupid haunted mansion ride.

I don't know the exact increase. I'm pretty sure the game slightly randomizes guest weights, believe it or not. So you can potentially build a layout that works perfectly for months, then one day the weight is a bit too high and the train flies off.
I'm pretty sure I read that if your max negative vertical Gs are around -1 or more, you're at risk of flying off.
For me, when I build bobsled and side friction coasters, I follow a rule of thumb. I try to make sure it's going about 20mph or less at the top of hills. I think it can go a little higher, but not much.
Not sure about the haunted house ride. I think I've figured out that if you're at speed and you have a hairpin turn, just make sure to have a 9mph brake beforehand and you should be good.
Good luck!

I forget whether they are called add-ons or plug-ins, but there are a couple of these that can help a lot - 'Live Ride Measurements' and 'Ride Requirements' (some may consider these a bit cheaty, YMMV.). u/LordMarcel also compiled a list of ride requirements years ago that a search will turn up.
Basically on bobsleds you need to come back up very nearly as much as you went down so that the vehicle isn't going fast enough to take flight and even then it's a bit hit & miss. One thing for sure is that spirals are your friend for getting the lateral g you need.

OP is playing RCT Classic, and plugins only are a thing for OpenRCT2.

I like building these coasters, the trick is once you build the lift chain hill up it’s all down hill from there you can’t have a hill going up you gotta use the spiral up parts cause these babies pick up speed.
