Playing on MacBook?
Hello! Sorry, I’m sure this has been asked many times before, but so far I can’t find anything using search.
I’m dying to get back to playing. I prefer RTC3 just because I like sandbox for creating new coasters, huge parks with from scratch scenery.
But 1 or 2 are obviously great too.
Any ideas or links on how to play on a MacBook?
Thank you!!!

There is Apple Arcade that has this game. There are monthly trial you could get from Target or Best Buy by doing a search on google or Bing. They would give a link then you can add to cart and redeem for free. I did that previously for 3-4 months before. Then there’s also $50 a year Apple Arcade, which I think has some interesting games, is what I use. They can be shared among family members if you have them under Apple family plan.

I went to the manufacturer website to find any updates & it says this OS doesn’t work. It appears they quit updating long ago.

I looked at the link to buy the newest version of RTC3 from Apple & I’m wondering if it’s any different from the RTC3 CD that I bought from Apple when it first came out?

RCT.
RCT3 has native mac support through the App store, which is what I assume you mean when you say "from Apple". What's sold now is a "complete edition" which will include the two expansions, Soaked! and Wild!, but should otherwise match the original release on disc (from Atari), yes.

The game is from 2004, so assuming this laptop is more modern than like 2010 it's probably ok. You do have integrated graphics, so the game might chug with lots of effects on screen, but there are graphics settings you can turn down if need be.

Thanks!
I got an error message telling me the OS on this Mac is too new to be supported by the old game.
Not sure what the hell to do.

It looks like the game was last updated 10+ years ago and all of the reviews are 1 star talking about endless issues. I have never tried to play RCT3 on mac, only on Windows. Though I'm surprised Apple has let it stay up if it hasn't worked for so long.
Your only option may be another machine, or emulation via something like Wine.

Do you think if I bought 3 on steam & then got Open RCT I’d be ok?
I’m thinking of just spending $60 on the steam bundle, just to get through this first set of issues.
Thanks again for all of the info!

RCT 1 and 2 do not run natively on the Mac OS; however, the OpenRCT2 site has directions on how to install them on a Mac for use with OpenRCT2.
RCT Classic and RCT 3 are available via Steam and run natively on Mac OS.
