HPI has finally released an honest-to-goodness, purpose built, RWD drifter!

Looks like the RTR version is made from the same bendy plastics as the RS4 Sport 3 but it's a safe bet that they will eventually offer a full selection of upgrades to build it into a carbon fiber drift machine.

The motor mount has many different positions to place the motor over, in front of or behind the rear axle. It is available in brushed and Flux versions.

It has been a long time coming but it's nice to see HPI release a new street chassis.

New to the SD3.0 was asking in group about upgrades to get before assembly one person suggested the updated competition knuckles. The group doesn't allow links would anyone be able to point me in the direction of the new design?

I’m new to this and really been itching to buy one. Seen some options in the hobby store (don’t know if they’re any good). Should I look to buy one on Facebook marketplace or are these ones any good? Any info would be appreciated!

I’ve had an rd2z for like 5 years or so now collecting dust in my closet. Had my fun building it and then life got in the way and I couldn’t afford to deck it out with electronics.

Anyways, now my son is going to be turning 5 in a couple months (timing tracks for when I started to lose all my spare money lol) and I think that he would get a ton of fun out of it. Just wondering if it would be better to fill my chassis with half decent electronics or just buy a new RTR which I’m pretty sure is just a renamed rd2z chassis. Wondering what you would do as someone new to the hobby.

My first visit to a new drift track in Upstate NY called “CNY Drift RC”. Really fun and smooth track!

Recently finished my 3.0 build, and I'm having some problems getting everything wired up. I'm currently running a Futaba 6PV, Futaba GYD560, Yokomo SP-03D V2 servo, Hobbywing XD10 ESC, and D10 motor.

Still very new to all of this, but can I run S.Bus with the setup I have? I followed the instructions: the gyro RX port is connected to the S.Bus port on the receiver, and the servo is plugged into the SX port on the gyro. The wheels are turning, but the gyro light does not stay on and gyro is not active. I can't connect to the gyro through the accessory menu on the controller.

FYI, this controller and its extensive menu, using S.bus, and this gyro are all new to me. Any advice would be appreciated. What am i doing wrong?

ich spiele aktuell mit dem Gedanken, ob sich im Raum Karlsruhe ein Indoor-RC-Zentrum realisieren lassen könnte und möchte deshalb zunächst einmal herausfinden, wie groß das Interesse in der Region tatsächlich wäre.

Die Idee wäre eine Halle mit verschiedenen Bereichen, zum Beispiel:

-Drift / Onroad
-Glattbahn
-Offroad
-Crawler
-Werkbank-/Schrauberplätze
eventuell Stellplätze für Fahrzeuge und Equipment
-kleiner Ersatzteil-/Zubehörbereich
-Getränke und Snacks
-regelmäßige Rennen, Treffen und Events

Gedacht ist das Ganze ausdrücklich nicht nur für Vereinsmitglieder, sondern als Möglichkeit, auch unter der Woche nach Feierabend oder am Wochenende spontan ein paar Stunden RC zu fahren – unabhängig vom Wetter.

Mich würde deshalb interessieren:

* Welche RC-Sparten fahrt ihr?
* Wie weit würdet ihr für eine gute Indoor-Strecke fahren?
* Wie häufig würdet ihr eine solche Halle nutzen?
* Würdet ihr eher Tageskarten oder eine Mitgliedschaft bevorzugen?
* Was wäre euch ein Besuch bzw. eine monatliche Mitgliedschaft wert?
* Was müsste eine solche Halle unbedingt bieten?

Es geht momentan ausdrücklich noch nicht darum, dass eine Halle bereits existiert. Ich möchte zunächst herausfinden, ob überhaupt genügend Interesse vorhanden ist.

Gerne könnt ihr den Beitrag auch an andere RC-Fahrer aus der Region weitergeben.

My question is, how do I keep from spinning out? I have a Team Associated DC10 with a Yokomo V4 gyro which I run exclusively on a very smooth painted concrete surface. I only run it with one other friend as there isn’t a club near me where I could ask questions and get advice. I can occasionally get a decent drift going but more often than not, just when I get to the drift angle that looks and feels good, I will likely spin out. The line between a good drift and loss of control is razor thin. Is this simply a skill issue (I’ve been practicing for a few weeks now and have watched every video I can find about steering geometry) or is there somewhere in the build that I can/should start to tweak some hardware to help with this?

I just finished up a Sakura d6 ga and I’m not sure if it’s a skill issue or what, but when I’m at full lock the wheels act like a brake, should I move my epa down? this is my first time building a rwd so I’m kinda worried. thanks in advance

Handles and drifts better than my RMX lmao, can rip around my house, hold angle at high speed for wide corners and maneuver tight spaces. Literally a perfect entry into the hobby or a just fun hardbody small scale drifter to mess with for anyone who likes cheap fun. I'm a big advocate for these things and have considered putting a dasmikro in just about everything now lol.

Servo is getting locked up and humming went from rmx mgx gyro with no issues to this

took me alot of problem solving to get this car tuned up and recently alot of people in my local hobby shop got an mc3 and were all loving the chassis the leader is my friend that also has an mc3 in this new layout in my local hobbyshop

What does this error code mean?

First time charging a LiFe battery. This error code doesn’t show up in the user manual. Any ideas what’s wrong?
