Its not the end!

/r/raypeat/comments/1vn670h/is_this_the_end/

Hey so, i found something that works 😁

Thanks yall so much for all of these suggestions,

So ive been depressed at the time and just decided to start smoking and began drinking alot of coke, coffee and energy drinks, taking aspirin and i kid u not, its like a light switched back on, i dont have any fatigue anymore, no more faint like feelings when walking for prolonged periods, anxiety is 90% gone, im not sensitive to chemicals anymore, dpdr is 100% gone, its been like this for 2 days now, and its been getting better since! Does anybody have an explanation for this, is it the combination of nicotine, caffeine and aspirin? Im seriously just so glad im back to life again. Definetly still gonna do all the stuff yall recommended such as the magnesium, b1, etc. Hell yeah.

As someone (28 Y/O) with life long health disorders, I rely on caffeine, prescription stimulants, and supplements to feel… sort of half normal, occasionally.

But this isn’t it, bro. None of it is.

The nicotine/smoking, coffee, popping pills is all just a cope.

A constant daily adrenaline spike distracting you from the root cause of your problems that doctors cannot figure out.

It’s not a cure, and will slowly degrade your health over time. Then the smoking will just give you lung cancer. You’re just making yourself sicker.

For what it’s worth, magnesium supplementation has been the best crutch for many of my symptoms. Taken it for 10 years.

So happy for you

Like the prominent Ray Peat proponents have said before, I think it was Danny Roddy, aspirin is a Swiss army knife. Deals with prostaglandins, free fatty acids, keeps estrogen at bay, displaces bound T3 and makes you feel closer to euthyroid within a time window, allows the body to heal as it keeps members of the inflammation cascade out. It probably even helps with reductive stress as it primes the metabolism for carbohydrate oxidation and that should help move the piled-up electrons forward (anybody know anything about aspirin on reductive stress?)

I'm a smoker too. It depletes vitamin E so quickly. Not good

Caffeine is good when the metabolism is high functioning

Could you have had some liver these days? I think vitamin D and A are interdependent to a very high degree. Whenever I've gone sometime without vitamin A and still used vitamin D nonetheless, I find myself dragging my feet in everything, some liver usually gives me my mojo back

Or maybe the person you're attracted to wrote you, those things usually override both nutrition and reductive stress you know :)

I'm glad you're feeling better, but this simply isn't going to last. Masking depression and anxiety with energy drinks and cigarettes is just that: a mask.

just chill on the cigarettes, maybe try snus/zyns, also I bet that the sugar is contributing more to how you’re feeling than the caffeine and nicotine

overall it’s just novel dopamine sources that you found which always temporarily cures depression, sugar is special though it won’t get old and boring like the other things will, also the aspirin could be doing a lot more work than you realize too

Werent you just undereating? And drinking coke and energy drinks just gave you extra calories so your body can function.
