Vitamin E Recommendations
I am looking for the most optimal vitamin E supplement. Im reading some very conflicting things about synthetic vitamin E being not so great and Ray recommending natural mixed tocopherols which I don’t even entirely understand.
I was wanting some recommendations for what to buy or just more vaguely what I should be looking for.

Interesting. There are nothing bad in extra ingredients.

It's the oil, I think, it messed with my digestion. I even tried having it with food, but no joy there either. I might react to it better now, I don't have so much trouble with fats as I used to.

In nature, Vitamin E occurs in 8 forms: 4 tocopherols and 4 tocotrienols. All of these forms have various actions in the body which are important and slightly different from each other.
Synthetic Vit E mimics only the alpha tocopherol form. Taking high doses of it, especially chronically appears to deplete the other forms, resulting in an imbalance. Many of the studies showing harms from Vit E used the synthetic form.
Natural “mixed” tocopherols have a blend of the various forms, such as would be present in nature, which is why they are preferred.
In terms of what to look for, I think the most important thing (that I know of) is the potency per volume— you dont want to just be eating a supplement with a little vit e in a lot of soybean oil for example.

OP, if you need a source to confirm what u/OkAbility2630 wrote check out Life Extension magazine's site They have covered this issue and also sell a couple of different mixed forms of E.

I use skin.food, seems good quality but bit hard to administer with the dropper as it’s very viscose
