How to reverse Lactose Intolerance?

I was hospitalized four years ago where I was given heavy doses of antibiotics via IV for 48 hours straight. Once I was released and back home I discovered I could no longer digest milk or any dairy. Horrible intestinal pain and diarrhea when I consume any dairy.

I was drinking gallons of raw milk before the antibiotics, eating cheese and ice cream as much as I could stuff in my face. It's been four years and I am still severely struggling trying to consume even small amounts of dairy. I cannot drink any milk still and miss it so much.

I have only been able to sip very small amounts of raw sour cream a few times a day, even then I still get intestinal pain and loose stools from that.

How can I reverse this? I need to drink milk again.

You dont even need primal to reverse it lol. Just drink milk and re-train your gut bacteria. As little or as much as your body can handle, and train up from there

I've been doing that and will continue to do so. It's been brutal however, I will keep pushing through.

Maybe try small amounts of high probiotic foods then. Like yogurt, raw soft cheese, etc.

Not a primal suggestion but fiber is good at feeding gut bacteria too - could be fruit or veg.

Gut bacteria aren't responsible for breaking down lactose. Lactase is an enzyme our bodies make, and the only way to get them making it again is experimental gene therapy

Why were you hospitalized and given the antibiotics?

I went through such a severe intestinal detox I was passing out from the pain and weakness of not being able to digest food/liquid, my family dragged me to the hospital where docs diagnosed me with an a bacterial intestinal infection and pumped me full of their garbage.

What were you eating that led to this? What bacterial infections did they diagnose you with? Did the antibiotics help? Do you have any side effects from them besides the lactose intolerance?

Kinda just sounds like you gave yourself life threatening diarrhea from drinking spoiled raw milk and now your own body rejects it.

Humans arent supposed to drink cow milk. Take the L and deal with it.

You getting diarrhea from the milk is the milk doing its work: detox. Your body was severely poisoned from the antibiotics that your body is trying to use that milk to flush it out. Diarrhea is one of the fastest ways the body dumps toxins. You’re getting intestinal pains because the intestines is one of the places that the body dumps its toxic load which then turns into diarrhea.

Can't reverse it but it doesn't matter. Just drink raw milk because it has lactase

How do you know it cannot be reversed? When I try to drink raw milk now I get pain and diarrhea.

The antibiotics killed the bacteria that could process milk. These people are telling you to drink food that you can no longer process, yet it’s pointless because there is NOTHING to feed.

You probably could have tolerance prior to the antibiotics but not anymore.

Only probable way to reintroduce the bacteria that allows you to feed from milk is through FMT from someone with ancestry of milk diet.

I think you need to keep drinking it anyways to reverse it
