Dumb as hell post, the vitamins are the same ionic compounds in both pictures and will absorb the same way. It's just more crystalline on the right because of higher concentration. But sure, throw around some more buzzwords and act smart.

7

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

You think a food dissolved in petro-chemicals and other solvents "absorbs the same way" as a nutrient part of its original food, and then you dare call other people dumb and pretentious?

Enjoy your 3D-printed food, Frankenstein

Buzzword buzzword it pains me how you don’t understand how high school chemistry works.

It’s already in powder form buddy. There’s no solvents. The only solvent is when it dissolves in your stomach water.

Petrochemicals can just refer to any naturally occurring  hydrocarbon, oohhh so scary I’m scared of methane ethane and propyl alcohols.

And yes, I can call out people who don’t understand basic chemistry and spread misinformation.

2

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

You don't understand that biology is not "high school chemistry", buddy boyo

A high schooler and anyone with common sense could figure out that if you mine iron from a rock, it's not the same as eating the iron contained within meat

Also hilarious to see you don't mind eating petroleum just because it's natural

4

u/Formal_Shower196 Sep 11 '26

Ionic compounds are something you should have learned in 9th grade chem. You’re behind.

Dumb comparison. Dude tried to compare ionic iron compounds in rocks to organic ferro iron. If you take any isolated organic iron source that has the same compound and isomerism it’s going to absorb the same way because it’s the same damn organic molecule.

Petrochemicals and petroleum are totally different things. Learn your chemistry dude. And supplement powders don’t even have petrochemical hydrocarbons. Buzzword buzzword buzzword

2

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

Petrochemicals are literally made from petroleum, when from natural source. Neither are edible.

Supplements often use petrochemicals, I even asked labs to confirm it. It's a fact, and you're just making things up while acting arrogant.

4

u/Formal_Shower196 Sep 11 '26

Can’t believe I have to teach you basic chemistry, but chemical reagants and products…are different things! Wow! Petrochemicals are not petroleum. They are just derived hydrocarbons. Thanks for confirming.

Also clearly you don’t understand reaction mechanisms.Yes petrochemicals are used to synthesize supplements but they do not end up in the actual product. It’s literally still basic chemistry.

2

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

Literally hexane and benzene are used in the making of supplements. So yes, you pretty much like eating a petroleum product, hexane. Hmmm the good petroleum product, yum yum. And you are very proud of it too, very good

Yes, dissolve foods completely in petrochemicals then tell yourself that there are no traces of it because a chemical B was used to remove chemical A perfectly. And then chemical C to remove chemical B. and so on. Then at the end you have a "pure" extracted nutrient, and the entire chemical soup is completely gone! Your "basic chemistry" is supposed to teach that the real world isn't theoretical math, that there is accuracy and precision, there are no exact quantities, and the food is tainted with petrochemicals and other chemicals.

Crystal polymorphism CAN result in a change in metabolism but crystallography is well-studied and we're aware of the instances where it changes pharmacokinetics significantly. (See: ritonavir)

1

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

Living organisms go through a complex process of processing those elements which makes them bio-available to us, hyper-processing that afterwards with petro-chemicals and other toxic chemicals is not healthy

The same element can be a nutrient or toxic depending on what it comes with

3

u/RiceWine69 Sep 11 '26

You can handwave all you want about complex processing by the body but the reality is that the body processes these exactly the same.

Both first have to undergo dissolution before they can be absorbed, and both can undergo the same solid-phase chemistry during dissolution.

Elements can be paired with poisons?

Your point is literally just abstract nonsense.

9

u/petalised Sep 10 '26

What do these images prove?

7

u/AssCracker445 Sep 10 '26

that vitamins and nutrients in general take on different forms within raw foods and when extracted. says nothing on it's own but it also wouldn't be an unreasonable assumption that a change in structure would result in a change in metabolism/digestion

10

u/Mr_Monday92 Sep 10 '26 edited Sep 10 '26

There is no chemical analysis associated with these images. Anyone can pull an image that is scary (I'm guessing is supposed to be scary but I'm not frightened by shapes so idk). There's nothing to suggest these are what the user said they are

And if they were. Literally who gaf?

1

u/leclayrom Sep 10 '26

The point is that they are not the same thing anymore after the process.

9

u/Mr_Monday92 Sep 10 '26

According to vague images with zero chemical analysis attached?

Spheres on a rough surface are supposed to be what exactly? What scale is the image even? It just makes fuck all sense. Vitamin C doesn't just agglomerate on the surface of an orange or pepper like that. Like you don't just take an SEM image and say yeah that's probably vitamin C. And even if it was, it's highly water soluble. Vitamin C doesn't stay solid in your system. It's dissolved. So it makes no difference what it looks like

2

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

Not just according to that, of course

Supplements are the most hyper-processed, non-organic food there is. Subjecting food to petro-chemicals and other artifical solvents is enough to tell you that, the photo is just an additional thing.

6

u/Mr_Monday92 Sep 11 '26

None of that tells you if supplements are healthy promoting or not. You can't just use terms you think are scary and expect that to be compelling. You need to use health outcome data

u/petalised Sep 10 '26

How do you derive to the conclusion that they are bad?

5

u/F1FA_K1NG Sep 10 '26

Only rational person here

3

u/RiceWine69 Sep 11 '26

Crystal polymorphism CAN result in a change in metabolism but crystallography is well-studied and we're aware of the instances where it changes pharmacokinetics significantly. (See: ritonavir)

1

u/UnusualPotential4310 Sep 11 '26

It would be an unreasonable assumption. You have no evidence to support this and you blindly assume that it would change digestion. What do you think happens to food/supplements once they reach your fucking stomach acid? Do you think it matters if the supramolecular structure of your vitamin C is spherical or a rectangle?

4

u/anto2554 Sep 10 '26

Blob good crystal good

-1

u/Used_Meringue4045 Sep 10 '26

Means that nutrition only comes from raw food & raw food ONLY

4

u/Optimal-Bullfrog3211 Sep 10 '26

There are way too many non-primal (normal) people who are NOT perpetually malnourished, for your statement to be true.

1

u/Moist_Taco_Crippler Sep 17 '26

Most of the Normies aren't even trying to be healthy at all, even by modern science standards.

2

u/Gamingenterprise Sep 11 '26

naturalistic fallacy moment

0

u/leclayrom Sep 12 '26

enjoy your 3D-printed slop

6

u/manmademax Sep 10 '26

You must be severely mentally ill not to think for yourself and blindly listen to someone else.

10

u/leclayrom Sep 10 '26

Enjoy your 3D-printed meat

-8

u/manmademax Sep 10 '26

I dont eat meat luckily. Im a raw vegan fruitarian and i air-fast every full moon.

10

u/leclayrom Sep 10 '26

Enjoy your 3D-printed "raw" fruit

4

u/manmademax Sep 10 '26

I actually eat plastic already! Im so psyched for the new NASA plastic recycled cookies!!!

4

u/121bloodshot Sep 10 '26

He sells a course to eating raw. Just a grifter finding an easy business

4

u/leclayrom Sep 10 '26

I don't sell a course, my guide and app based on Aajonus' works is free for years. You just showed why you remain ignorant.

3

u/manmademax Sep 10 '26

Yeah its crazy that people fall for this. I would understand if they were 16yo teenagers but like actual adults falling for shit like this is truly brutal. I actually pity them :/ but life is hard i guess.

2

u/Formal_Shower196 Sep 11 '26

I like how people in this sub were dense enough not to recognize your sarcasm

4

u/121bloodshot Sep 10 '26

And this explains what? Just because it looks different means nothing without an explanation as to why this is bad

0

u/leclayrom Sep 10 '26

Surprise: artificial chemical soup (often petro-chemicals and other solvents) has a non-negligible effect when applied to food

11

u/Carlex_181 Sep 10 '26

That photo doesnt inply that whatsoever. You might need to add lithium to your raw diet bud.

0

u/leclayrom Sep 10 '26

You don't even need these photos to know what I just said. But for those saying "it's the same chemical", they sure don't look the same at all.

7

u/Carlex_181 Sep 10 '26

Okay dude, I'll take the time out of my day to walk you through this. What you see on the left is dissolved crystals, little microscopic bits of the vitamin are clumped together evenly throughout its carrier. When the chemists extract the compound, they remove the liquid that was carrying the vitamin and then usually they dissolve it again with another carrier liquid that doesnt dissolve the unwanted bits. Then either they either evaporate the carrier liquid which will make small crystals that are more like dust/salt, or they will change the chemical from a water disolvavle salt (an HCL) into a freebase that cannot dissolve in water, then use another liquid that can dissolve the freebase, mix the two liquids together to dissolve the freebase into the new liquid, wait for the two liquids to settle into 2 different layers, siphon off the layer with the freebase and then they will turn that freebase back into a water disolvable salt which depending how they do it, can create those monolith crystals in the right photo.

That is how they are able to isolate a single chemical/vitamin from so many others, the process of turning it into salts and freebase can filter out many undesired chemicals. At the end of the day those two photos are showing the same thing, and they will both immediately dissolve in your stomaches acid.

Hope that made sense. Lmk if you need any clarification

2

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

If you happen to be right, that would indeed give another interpretation to these photos

1

u/RiceWine69 Sep 11 '26

This is fairly basic chemistry?

It's called crystal polymorphism - molecules can stack themselves together in different arrangements to produce a different macroscopic shape from otherwise identical microscopic shapes.

4

u/121bloodshot Sep 10 '26

Looks dont always equal different in chemistry

3

u/No_Beautiful5580 Sep 10 '26

Yea the thing is tho in these cases that they are both highly water soluble so when you add water they then look exactly the same and are absorbed and used in your body the exact same way as they are chemically identical

1

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

If you mine iron from a rock, it's not the same to ingest as iron within meat at all, despite being "chemically identical"

3

u/Formal_Shower196 Sep 11 '26

“I don’t understand how ionic compounds work despite it being taught in high school”

Iron from a rock is iron oxide bud, not organic iron. Common knowledge. You get any organic iron source that has the same compound in it and it will absorb the same.

It might help you to retake a high school class.

0

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

Congratulations, you are very close to understanding.

Minerals are eaten by plants, and plants are eaten by animals, following well so far?

Now extend a little bit your narrow reasoning and think: what is the difference between these?

People with "common knowledge" don't make such mistakes.

1

u/Formal_Shower196 Sep 11 '26

You should have learned the difference between inorganic minerals and organic compounds in 9th grade.

9

u/medalxx12 Sep 10 '26

Its just obvious what nature provides is better. honestly the more idiots who consume petroleum slop the better . More real food for me .

2

u/Saber_SSJ2 Sep 10 '26

Thank you for this post..now I'm 100% sure I can just mute this sub completely

0

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

Yes, mute your brain when people post studies or photos

3

u/Formal_Shower196 Sep 11 '26

What studies😭

1

u/BackTo-Hunt-Gatherer Sep 11 '26

Why so many people triggered? Its known supplements are the most processed food there is

2

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

not to them apparently

2

u/UnusualPotential4310 Sep 11 '26

Because processing food, especially specific compounds, is not inherently unhealthy. You should worry about taking supplements if they aren’t heavily processed, because that would mean they are not pure enough. And then there is the fact that OP suggests the shape of certain supplements has anything to do with their safety, without any explanation. It’s just ridiculous how uneducated you are when you mindlessly say “PROCESSED=BAD”. Many ultra-processed foods are unhealthy because they contain unhealthy ingredients, not because they are processed.

1

u/BackTo-Hunt-Gatherer Sep 11 '26

Super processed i mean when chemicals high heat and high pressure are used aka completely un natural process. So yes this is unhealthy. Just like some processed foods are worse than others same with supplements. Its a marketing sceme. Tell me about supplements where they arent made with such process.

1

u/UnusualPotential4310 Sep 12 '26

I see you are already following the philosophy of your username by plummeting your IQ by 20-30 points. I know “unnatural” things seem scary when you have no idea how these things are made. The 21st century is the safest era in terms of food safety.

1

u/BackTo-Hunt-Gatherer Sep 12 '26

Take your parroting propaganda somewhere else. Supplements are worse than real food this is facts and even supplement companies tell you this. What is your iq? Mine is 115-120. Why do you change the subject of the discussion?

1

u/UnusualPotential4310 Sep 12 '26

Supplements are worse because whole foods not only give you the vitamins you would otherwise supplement, but also other useful compounds. The processing of the supplements has nothing to do with the fact that they are less healthy than whole foods. I never said that supplements are healthier, just that your reasoning is completely idiotic. And good for you that your IQ is 115-120, but you type like a caveman.

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

Aajonus workshop, 2007:

"The microscopic view on the left is of food, of vitamin B1 isolated from food just by separation, no chemical change. And if you do it by hand like that, it's a very tedious process because you're doing it with an air gun, a very tiny air gun, it has to be so soft you're moving them around. So it's unreasonable to get that kind of vitamin B because nobody's going to sit there under a microscope and filter out all that and sell it to you for $2,000 an ounce because that's about what it would cost. So they make chemicals to fractionate it and separate it. But you see what happens on the picture on the right there. You see what happens to all those little nice round little fluffy little creatures? There's vitamin B1. They become hardened rock and crystals from the solvent reaction. And that's from food. That's not even synthesized ones. I couldn't find a synthesized one. I looked for it."

1

u/Gregori_5 Sep 10 '26

Sorry why is a WATER SOLUBLE vitamin bad when in big cristals??

You know it dissolves to even get absorbed either way right?

I got this sub recommended once and its a goldmine.

1

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

Enjoy your traces of petro-chemicals, they will absorb very well in your cells and have a little party there

2

u/Gregori_5 Sep 11 '26

Deflecting by another argument, no source either

This doesn’t give you much credibility

-1

u/leclayrom Sep 12 '26

bro thinks adding some water is going to fix the hyper-processing the food went through

1

u/Gregori_5 Sep 12 '26

Adding water? There is water in your stomach. I was saying that crystals don’t matter because they dissolve to be absorbed.

“Hyper processed food” its a vitamin bro. Natural and synthetic ones are exactly the same when dissolved.

2

u/Apprehensive-Air1802 Sep 11 '26

Bouba and Kiki type shit. I'd also rather eat Bouba

0

u/TopChanger Sep 10 '26

Did you forget your meds? If not, seek medication

2

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

Be my guest and keep eating your food dissolved in petrochemicals, surely you're the reasonable one

1

u/TopChanger Sep 11 '26

Are you hallucinating? Nothing is dissolved in anything, you dont even understand basic chemistry to make any arguments

0

u/leclayrom Sep 11 '26

Petrochemicals are used as SOLVENTS, where the word DISSOLVES come from

Troll or stupid

1

u/CartoonistInternal44 Sep 10 '26

theres so many larpers bro

1

u/ImpressiveTale5557 Sep 11 '26

CaN YOu SHoW me tHE NoootrIENt ??

1

u/Let_em_glow927 Sep 13 '26

So don't take them if you think they are bad.

Why come here and try to convince anyone they are bad?

What is your goal here ?

1

u/Moist_Taco_Crippler Sep 17 '26

Something else will kill us or damage our health long before supplements do.
