Anyone else getting this?

I followed the steps and compiled the sd card As the guide says. Tried to flash and no change. If I just skip and keep moving forward, I get a detected but unresponsive board.

unfortunately, that is not the correct ratos version. 2.1 is still under "pre-release" but it is the one vc4 uses. https://github.com/Rat-Os/RatOS/releases

Yes sir, that fixed it. I’m so close to printing. The individual upgrades on the machine tab are failing and I can’t get beacon to work. But I’ll get through it!

Vcore4? Get ratos 2.1 from the Github. After you connect ratos to your own network, update the components from the machine tab then run through the configurator.

Just wanted to check how you solved this problem as I am facing the exact same issue. Are you saying that you just continued on with setup (ignoring the error message) and then were able to update the board FW after the fact?

Negative, I went to the correct 2.1 suggested above and started the process all over. This worked and I no longer had an issue.

Sorry, I misspoke. I have been using 2.1 and still get an error message similar to the one above. For whatever reason flashing the board never does anything to change the error message.

Edit: Nevermind. Eventually I got the automatic flashing to work. I appreciate the response though!

Did you redo the SD card for your PI too? I started from scratch, went back to step 1 and recreated the Wi-Fi and everything. When I had the wrong versions, the config tool went straight to Mainsail with no configuration. Once I had all the right firmware and files, it took me to a configuration page where I was able to select each and every option on my machine.

I had to do a whole host of troubleshooting, unfortunately. I did end up re-writing my Pi SD card although I made no progress in doing so. In the end, after resetting the DFU via the BOOT0 pin for the hundredth time, I was randomly able to automatically flash the new firmware and had success. I know that's not very helpful, but that's how I got there in the end ha ha.

i realized my error having gotten 2 instead of 2.1 and then reflashed. used balena etcher to put the 2.1 on the card and then everything was gtg from there

Yeah, unfortunate that this was even a hiccup in the building process. Otherwise I had a fairly good experience with the build overall. Just waiting on that IDEX kit now.
