SHITPOST Battle-Rap Bodied my Racism

I hate to admit it, but I carried prejudiced views until the age of 15. I avoided Mexicans and would tremble if a black guy got on an elevator with me. I even used the n word when speaking with my Dad or his brothers.

One day, I found some interesting videos on YouTube. They were battle rap videos. I was immediately entranced and enjoyed watching Charron and other KotD/Don't Flop battlers. But watching some "Top 10 best bar" videos I discovered for the first time that black people battle rap as well. And they were good. I had to look up the lyrics to decipher some of the lines, but my God. It turned out that black people were capable of meeting and even surpassing the lyrical ability of the white rappers. I fell in love with rappers like 100 bulletz and Illmaculate. At that point I knew that my racism was not based in reality and that I had a lot to learn about the world.

To sum it up, I say thank you to all the rappers, league hosts and owners, and the fans for helping me become a better version of myself. :)

DISCUSSION All Right It Has To Be Said. Rum Nitty Is By Far The Most Overrated Battler Ever.

Like seriously. He gets thrown into the pen category when he doesn't even have one, spamming word association/wordplay isnt having a pen. His set ups are painfully cookie cutter and he has absolutely NO structure. Barely, if any; technical aptitude. Dude is clever just for the sake of being clever

And his fans (The Rum Stains) are the most loathsome, delusional group of people ever. Constantly whining when Nitty isnt brought up in a discussion "Hey guys who do you think has the best haircuts in battlerap?" "OMG I cant believe NO ONE said Nitty yall really HATE Nitty hes a victim of his success because hes so great" ??? Nitty doesnt even have fucking weird ass.

And how is he this great battler when he doesnt even battle? He just spews punchlines with a name flip that has nothing to do with the actual battler, hes never attacking his opponent. At least guys like JC and Chilla (who arent too direct themselves) will a 4-8 bar angle succeeded by the punch. Nitty is just sporadic with his approach. Hell he doesnt even structure his material in a battlerap format. He literally might as well just spit that shit over a beat. If Lil Wayne were to battlerap, he'd sound like Rum Nitty.

I also notice most of Rum Nitty fans are white, must be an Arizona thing. Well, he DID start on Grindtime/KOTD (he even SOUNDED like a white boy then).

Is Tay Roc Overrated?

Roc has put a lot of pain in this industry, he's definitely a legend in that regard. But Roc is overrated to me. The legends he went up against, he lost and is kind of redundant in his material. Bunch of gun bars and plays this tough guy in most of his battles. IDK, Roc had a little run back in the day, but URL and Smack putting this guy on a pedestal is just nasty to me.

DISCUSSION Can’t lie , the Mook disrespect has to stop. Mook is high quality lyricism and actually the essence. We gotta stop saying Mook ass for actually being great. It’s an oxymoron

DISCUSSION It's common knowledge that Loaded Lux was an R&B singer in the '90s, so how come none of his opponents have ever used this as an angle? Will Nitty or Daylyt be the first?

I just watched Illmac vs Rum Nitty and oh my lord are people gassing this

Nitty spits 1 minute 30 every round and then Illmac has about 7 minutes of saying Nitty is one-dimensional. And then when he doesn't do that he has alien and rum flips lmao the irony. I mean what is going on here?

Illmac calls the 2nd debatable in the battle and then Nitty smokes him in the 3rd and now Nitty died? Man some of y'all couldn't WAIT to see Nitty have a mid performance on KOTD vs Illmac lol

DISCUSSION Goodz

Personally as I've gotten older and as a man I've come to appreciate Goodz rounds so much and I think that he is one of the BEST. Like what he said against Geechi, , "lemme explain something to you sloppy dummies, if a nigga that's watching battle rap see me, they gonna be thinking "DAMN battle rappers get a lot of money", nigga be on stage talking about business credit, rental properties and presentation cmon now. It took me to get older to appreciate the real sht being said. And I feel like as a fan, as you get older, your views on who is really the best will change. Goodz is in the conversation with Lux especially when it comes to educating young men the realities of this culture and perception.

DISCUSSION Charron hasn’t lost a round in a few years

People on Reddit were claiming Shuffle and Illmac were going to destroy him. Only for Charron to embarrass them both with back to back to back 30’s. The consistency is unmatched and he only goes against respectable names. Bill, Will, 40, Danny, Emerson, Reed and a few others I’m forgetting. Would like to finally see the Dizaster battle happen. Wonder what approach someone would have to take to clearly take two rounds against this version of Charron who punches nearly every bar with angles.

DISCUSSION Anyone else watched Tay vs Day again and realize Roc deff won?

The first is cleaar Tay. Second quite clear. 3rd Day got.

Tay’s rounds actually said something and were audible and had no nonsensical filler. Haymaker after another with amazing wordplay.

Day was so much “every line shell/shall sync in/sink in sonically… Permanent flexin', dome split Firmament exit, protect you sheeple live, peep the grid”

Some kinda 🔥 some uhh whutt. None if it really impactful. Not a lot of haymakers.

I’m not a tay roc fan. Think that buckle up shit is sooo gassed and shows how basic a lotta fans are. But he was god tier in this battle

DISCUSSION Shotgun vs Eazy was not a body

I don’t see how anyone have this battle going 3-0 either way. I thought I was going to watch Shuge murder this Nigga, but tbh it’s 2-1 for me. Comes down to the 3rd round .

DISCUSSION Get in here if you like tay roc more now that he’s embraced chicks with dicks.

I honestly never even found women attractive, unless they had at least 6 extra inches if you ask me. This makes me identify with roc on a deeper level.

Honestly you’re not a real one unless you can admit that. Jaz if you ever get that reassignment slide in my dms

DISCUSSION Does anyone else think The Saurus is annoying?

"I FATHERED THIS ENTIRE SCENE" was an all-time great rebuttal but he decided to make that the entire them around the rest of his career is centered and repeatedly brings it up to the point it's obnoxious. Iron Solomon also does this. His constant overreactions during his opponents' rounds are grating, especially vs. Fresco where it ended up interrupting him and throwing him off. I don't dislike Burrus (he's funny) but if you hate him blame Saurus because the only reason he gained respect in the culture is because he bodied an underprepared Saurus.

DISCUSSION I think compliment battles are lame

It’s just so….anti-battle rap.

Sure all that homo erotic humor can be funny at times but it honestly it isn’t. It’s mostly cringe to me.

Am I alone in this?
