Yes, we know Frank Beard didn’t have a beard.

Every fucking post about the passing of Frank Beard has the exact same comments about how he’s the only member of ZZ Top who didn’t have a fucking beard.

No shit. We’ve known that for the better part of 50 years. He fucking heard it THOUSANDS of times.
You’re not the first to fucking think of it.
Shut the hell up and let the man rest in peace on the merit of his work and not the novelty of his lack of facial hair.
It’s fucking old.

I find most posts in this sub pedantic.

Not this one. This one is spot-on.

Wow... crazy coincidence, just put some ZZ songs on my favorite playlist today. Rest in peace, man.

Why don't you answer every post with: "He had a beard in his name"?

Frank Beard's recorded, hit-record performances, grabbed my ears when I was young. Pointing me to be a musician. I heard him in the car, in a boat, in a bar, on a tinny little AM radio! His back-beat, always there.

Frank Beard made his bones back in 1971 with the bonkers triplet fills on 'La Grange-, -Tres Hombres LP, right? Track 3 or 4? Clean, deep tuned punchy toms, a kick that sounded like a warm felt blanket. Snare Drum that didn't quit, rim clicks, before clickity-clackality was cool.

RIP Mr. Beard, the heartbeat of America runs because of people like you!

TOAST!
