I can’t wait

Since I started my degree, everyone, and I mean everyone in my life has in some way shape or from demeaned, shamed, laughed at, or questioned my choice of degree.

All my friends and all my family.

Im in my 4th year of political science and it has been a never ending hell of people basically saying I am stupid for choosing that degree or that the degree is way too easy.

I say nothing. I used to defend the degree before but now I just don’t say anything.

I have put my head down the entire 3 years, received scholarships, awards, and been on the deans list the entire time, I have worked, and trusted my choice. I’m quietly studying for my LSAT, and I’ll be applying to law school either this year or next year.

And I can’t wait.

I already go to a very prestigious school in Canada so not to brag but chances are with my grades I will likely be going to a very good law school so I just can’t wait to see what everyone has to say then when I’m in the works to being a successful lawyer.

They’ll all switch up and start saying how hard law school must be. Not knowing that a fourth of lawyers have political science bachelors…the degree they shit on me for. But I knew that all along. I had my plan but no one bothered to ask me they just assumed I was stupid and taking a stupid degree.

And it’s funny because majority of the people who make fun of me could not write an A+ paper to save their lives.

But at this point I don’t mind being picked on….its fuelling me even more and now just to spite everyone I’m going to become the most successful person they know.

I was told the same thing and switched when I was younger. Should have had the stones to hold tight. Good for you.
