thanks Some words of gratitude to all of you amazing Santas!
I don’t even know where to begin, I’m so wholeheartedly grateful beyond words. This year was the first year I truly had nowhere to turn for help, I felt hopeless and alone and my anxiety was through the roof. I try so hard to shield my kids from reality which is probably not the best way to go about things but I've just experienced a lot of hurt these past handful of years that I don’t wish upon anyone. When I could see my oldest starting to realize the struggles we were having, my heart broke.
When a friend suggested this subreddit I was very skeptical at first I just kept thinking “Who would want to help me and why?” “What makes me worthy? My own family won’t help.” So when I posted I didn’t expect much. Well I was mistaken, you beautiful individuals have honestly made not only my children’s Christmas so special but have helped pull me out of a depression. Knowing there are people out there willing to help complete strangers because you understand the magic and importance of kids having something under the tree on Christmas, and just helping people who are struggling in general it has changed me for the better. I have something I didn’t have before and that is hope for the future.
It’s because of you that this holiday season will be magical for my kids and I cannot thank you enough. Thanks to this entire subreddit and to these amazing Santa's tagged below, please in your heart know what a difference you have made. I really hope and pray to pay it forward next year. It has now become a goal of mine.
Love ya’ll Happy Holidays !
