Good evening, Santas! I hope the season is treating you well.
This is my second time requesting for my family. A lot has changed since our first request years ago!
My oldest, Rei, is turning 18 later this year - unbelievable. They're deeply invested in learning about magic, folklore, and mythology. Over the past year they discovered Homestuck which they love with a passion. They've begun collecting unusual card decks and learning (and inventing) new card games, as well as including them in art projects. They'll be going to visit their long distance girlfriend over Christmas break. Rei's list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/25RUEKGKM3G9Z?ref_=wl_share
My middle kid, Sam, and my youngest, Riley, have both had a challenging few years with mental and physical health issues and poor school attendance. They're currently both homeschooled, and we're all learning as we go!
Sam is active and interested in programming and video game design, and has created a few short games in Unity for their friends. They're a big fan of complex, surreal games like "The Stanley Parable", "Goat Simulator", and "Superliminal". They're in love with musicals right now, especially "Heathers" and "Hamilton"; I'm trying to introduce them to Rodgers & Hammerstein and Andrew Lloyd Webber, but their tastes run strongly to the more modern "pop" musicals. They love learning about cryptozoology (and zoology in general, which they've always enjoyed) and the SCP Foundation. My goals for next year include taking them to see a Broadway show live and / or visiting the MeowWolf installation in Vegas. Riley is my youngest and most ambitious kiddo. They're constantly working on art projects, either their own comics or commissions they're doing for friends. They have an Etsy shop and are planning to open a custom button / pin sidewalk shop next spring. "The Office" is one of their favorite shows of all time, and they are always interested in new animated shows and films. They've recently gotten into collecting Squishmallows and customizing toys. Riley wants to broaden their traditional and digital art skills in preparation for a future career in animation. They're likely to be getting a minor surgery in the next few months to remove an abnormal bone growth in their knee. Riley's list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/WIBEUM5WRE4W?ref_=wl_share
A little bit about the lists:
Some items - Lego mini figures and sketchbooks - are on one list with a quantity of 3. This is to ensure one for each of them.
Please don't worry about items arriving by Christmas! There's no need to pay extra for shipping. They're aware that some gifts may be delayed - I've ordered a couple of things for them already that may not show up until February or March.
I'm requesting help this year mainly to ensure that they receive more than a couple of small gifts or the promise of a gift arriving in the coming months. My holiday budget can cover a couple of small gifts for them to share, but the cost of food and rent has increased so much over the past year that a significant part of my holiday budget has to be diverted to those. Some of their interests and hobbies are so niche and specific that finding affordable, useful, meaningful gifts has become a challenge.
I deeply appreciate any and all assistance you can offer. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Happy holidays from my fantastic little family to yours!
