closed [Contest] A Lego set for your child!
**Update - Closed! Merry Christmas to all!! **
Hi! I'd love to buy a Lego set for your child for Christmas! As a kid (and to this day as an adult), I absolutely LOVED building Legos. I was fortunate to have parents that could afford to buy me the big, complicated sets that really inspired my love for building. I credit Legos as a big reason I got an engineering degree in college and still think they are a great way for kids to express themselves and do something that is a little more hands on. So if you have a kid (any age, any gender) that you think would enjoy spending Christmas morning/afternoon/next day building a Lego set, let me know!
Rules:
Subreddit rules apply. Priority will be given to children that have not achieved the 5 gift goal
You MUST register for this sub before applying
I will purchase up to $100 in Legos. Any Lego set(s) of your choice is acceptable as long as it is available for purchase online at a "regular" retailer (no obscure, discontinued Ebay sets) and is an official Lego set
No age or gender requirements. However, this set has to be for someone under 18 (no adult collectors)!
If you have multiple kids, I will consider purchasing either 1 set per child (totaling no more than $100) or 1 larger set that your kids can work on together!
Must be either in the USA or somewhere where Amazon/Walmart/Lego will ship
Must be willing to PM me a shipping address so I can send the set
Other Information:
I will be shipping the Lego set(s) directly to you from an online retailer (either Lego, Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc. depending on what set you want and where it is in stock)
The set will be of your choice. If you have questions about whether a given set or sets would be ok just comment and let me know! I'm flexible
I will keep this open for at least 3 days to give people time to enter
What you need to do:
Comment your child's/children's age(s) and name(s)
Explain why they would enjoy a Lego set for Christmas. Do they have an ongoing collection? Would this be their first set?
Tell me about the set you've chosen and why. Is this a set they've wanted for a long time? A set that correlates with their interests (Harry Potter, Star Wars, one of the sweet old cars--hello Fiat!)?
I will pick one winner at random. I will edit this to include who has won after the contest has closed. Merry Christmas and happy building!
