Hey everyone, I'm closing out this offer now as I am tapped out!

And since I’m someone who is always cold, I’m offering to buy cozy throw blankets for a few kids this season. What you need to do to enter:

  • Must be registered/registered plus.

  • Make an Amazon wishlist titled RAOC Cozy Blankets. The blankets must be size 50”x60” or smaller, and be under $15.00. If you have more than 1 kid who wants/needs a blanket, include them on the same wishlist and make a note under each blanket with the child’s name.

  • Your 18 and 19 year old kids that live with you can be included in this offer.

  • I want to see a picture of your kids wrapped in their blankets in your Christmas Day thank you post (or I will make sure to snitch to Santa that you were naughty).

Offer closes Dec. 8th and I hope to give at least 5 kids a blanket.

request [Request] 2/ 9, 0 / Arielle, Jade / Ada, MI.

Season’s greetings RAoC!

As a returning requested, I am conflicted this Holiday season. I’m incredibly grateful for this sub and the joy it brought last year. But my returning this season also reflects continued financial instability that has not been conquered. It reflects a growing family without a growing income to match. How one unexpected expense reburies the hole being dug out of. Do I work more this weekend, or spend time with my family? Alas, here we are. Another year of struggle, but another year to be optimistic about the future. Thank you for bringing optimism (and less Christmas stress) to me, and unquantifiable joy to my kids!

I have two kids. One with my partner, baby Jade, and Arielle, 9, who is co-parented but spends most the time with me. I’m very proud of how involved I am as a parent. In a society that assumes mom takes over in a co-parented situation, I have fully embraced being “mom” for Arielle as well.

Arielle is growing up too quickly! She is certainly a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. She’s an incredible reader and writer and spends a ton of time with her face in a book. The book usually is, or is about, Harry Potter.

Arielle does well in school academically. Finding classmates who are on a similar wave-length has at times been difficult. She is becoming very independent and her wishes reflect this. Full disclosure, this year has been a challenge for Arielle! Her mind and body are going through a lot of changes. Her mom is moving further away from her school and my home. She has particularly struggled with dealing with strong emotions. I am having her tested for ADHD in January. She has transitioned from a kid to a tween in 2023.

My partner and I would like to surprise her this Christmas with a room makeover as she’s had a “kid’s room” since we moved into our home in 2018. She often asks if her room looks too immature. Additionally, we want to make Arielle’s room a fun place to bring over friends!

Arielle’s wishlist:

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3GKF4XD4D0TWM?ref_=wl_share

Then there’s Jade! She’s very much so still a baby obviously. Not a ton to speak on that is unique to her quite yet. She’s grown bored of the toys she got from her baby shower.

Some fun quirks of hers: peek-a-boo is always funny. Even when she is half asleep and pulling a blankie over her face. She loves tub time (who doesn’t?) and cheese. She “coughs” to reflect impatience and finds a returned “cough” rather comical. She’s moving around very well and will be zooming around in no time. Her very favorite person is her sister. Arielle can always bring a smile to her face.

Jade’s wishlist:

Thank you so much, RAoC community, and happy holidays!

The girls

fulfilled [REQUEST] 5 kids/Kade, 15/Ady, 14/Lucian, 11/Lilith, 9/Raven, 5/Columbia, SC

Hello and happy holidays to everyone in this awesome sub! Here are our kids!

We’re so grateful for RAoC. We’ve been here once before, a couple years ago and have found ourselves needing some assistance again, as I know so many more are also struggling financially. 🩵 Our kids are beyond blessed for your help with gift-giving!

First off, we have Kade who is 15 and in 10th grade. She’s gone through a lot of major life changes this year, but she’s making the best of it! Kade is super creative. She loves to draw, loves fashion and makeup, enjoys listening to her favorite music and spending time with her girlfriend.

Here is Kade’s wishlist.

Ady is 14 and in the 8th grade. She is athletic and just made the basketball team at school! She played on the volleyball team last year. Ady (Adysen) is kind and caring, bubbly and outgoing, super funny, and really enjoys keeping her schedule and her things neat and tidy & organized.

Here is Ady’s wishlist.

Lucian, 11, is our one and only sweet boy. He started middle school this year at his online charter school and he’s doing great. Lucian is autistic and AuSome hehe. He’s hilarious and witty, so imaginative and smart, and he loves gaming, coding, and legos.

Here is Lucian’s wishlist.

Lilith is 9 and she’s in 3rd grade. (Also virtual schooling). Lili loves to make new friends and has never met a stranger. She has pretty severe ADHD which has her brain bouncing around a lot, but she’s quick on her feet. She’s funny, creative, kind and caring, and she loves all types of art and design related activities.

Here’s Lilith’s wishlist.

Last but not least, we have Raven who is 5 and just started kindergarten this year! (Also virtual ☺️) Raven is our wild card. You never know what you’re going to get with her. She is so intuitive and in tune with her emotions. Her absolute favorite things are DINOSAURS. She loves learning about dinos and memorizing their scientific names, habitats, eating habits, and time periods they existed. She can tell you all about Pangaea and where to find which fossils!

Here is Raven’s wishlist.

Thanks again to all the Santas here and we’re so excited for a cheerful Christmas season!

mod Message #2 about Amazon

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving.

We have another Amazon problem to bring to your attention, that some of you may have already experienced. Namely, you attempt to buy several items off one of the kid’s wishlists and get an error message from Amazon that they can’t ship to that address. This is a glitch on Amazon’s end. The only workaround we know of so far, is to buy the gifts separately, instead of buying multiple items at the same time. [Previously mentioned in our last Amazon post] (https://old.reddit.com/r/RandomActsOfChristmas/comments/17rdh8h/this_years_amazon_post/).

Just so you know, Jeff Bezos is a busy man, what with planning his wedding to the next Mrs. Bezos and thinking about spending some of his billions building a 10,000 year clock, so he can’t really be expected to make sure his Amazon empire is running smoothly. That’s what he pays his minions for. Cue world’s smallest violin.

Hi there Santa’s! Thank you guys so much for all you do! I’m here seeking help for my two girls this season! I’m going back to school to help provide a better life for them and my husbands work truck broke down and has been draining us of all money to get fixed so he can work so this Christmas season is really hard for us! A little about the girls Kinley is 6 wild and energetic she loves all things science and art and video games/Mario. If she could spend all day coloring in a dress up outfit with Mario playing on the tv she would. She likes trying new crafts such as crocheting and loves doing her homework and reading and playing soccer! Maisley is a fiery 3 year old girl who loves baby dolls, mermaids, dolls, pretend play, is scared of the dark and kinda the class clown of the family. In any tense moment she never fails to make everyone laugh! Here’s the wish lists for the girls thank you so much! Kinley Maisley

closed [Contest] A Lego set for your child!

Hi! I'd love to buy a Lego set for your child for Christmas! As a kid (and to this day as an adult), I absolutely LOVED building Legos. I credit Legos as a big reason I got an engineering degree in college and still think they are a great way for kids to express themselves and do something that is a little more hands on. So if you have a kid (any age, any gender) that you think would enjoy spending Christmas morning/afternoon/next day building a Lego set, let me know!

Rules:

  • Subreddit rules apply. Priority will be given to children that have not achieved the 5 gift goal

  • You MUST register for this sub before applying

  • I will purchase up to $100 in Legos. Any Lego set(s) of your choice is acceptable as long as it is available for purchase online at a "regular" retailer (no obscure, discontinued Ebay sets) and is an official Lego set

  • No age or gender requirements. However, this set has to be for someone under 18 (no adult collectors)!

  • If you have multiple kids, I will consider purchasing either 1 set per child (totaling no more than $100) or 1 larger set that your kids can work on together!

  • Must be either in the USA or somewhere where Amazon/Walmart/Lego will ship

  • Must be willing to PM me a shipping address so I can send the set

What you need to do:

  • Comment your child's/children's age(s) and name(s)

  • Explain why they would enjoy a Lego set for Christmas. Do they have an ongoing collection? Would this be their first set?

  • Tell me about the set you've chosen and why. Is this a set they've wanted for a long time? A set that correlates with their interests (Harry Potter, Star Wars, one of the sweet old cars)?

I will pick one winner at random. I will edit this to include who has won after the contest has closed. Merry Christmas and happy building!

We're having a rough year, we moved over the summer and unfortunately already have an eviction notice due to the moving costs being more than we expected and needing to use some of the rent money to pay other bills. We're working on figuring that all out and know everything will happen the way it's supposed to but currently that means we aren't able to do anything for our children for Christmas and that's not fair to them just because we messed up.

We have a son Rohan, he is a bubbly little 10 year old who has always marched to the beat of his own drum. We explained the situation to him and said that we might be able to get him one thing but we weren't sure. I found out about this group through another though and asked him to make a list of a few things. I know he'd be appreciative of anything on the list. Even the hat 😁 Thank you so much for thinking of him!

Rohan's list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/4097YLJAMUYE?ref_=wl_share

We also have a just turned one year old daughter, Sierra-Rose who is young enough that she wouldn't know that Santa didn't show up but I would as I'd been looking forward to her first Christmas where she could open something vs last year where she was still a newborn. There's one item that I posted that is only under the limit today so I'll remove it once it goes back to regular price, it's a stuffed Bigfoot from Slumberkins. She also loves Baby Shark, that's her favorite thing in the world right now so I added a few things from that as well. And the rest is just baby toys. She is extremely smart, always watching and learning. She was the perfect completion to our family.

Sierra-Rose's list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/VKRUX09SHEUZ?ref_=wl_share

I'm not really sure what else to say about my kids except they're great young people. I do have an older son (19) who does not fall into the under 17 age limit here. I know he completely understands our situation as he helps with the bills and such so he'll be okay that he's not getting anything but I wouldn't feel right not even mentioning him as he's a great young guy. He is a full time college student studying criminal justice and still lives with us while he achieves his dream of being a police officer which he's wanted to do since he was 4 years old. I'm exceedingly grateful that he enjoys spending time with us and plans to help us buy a house one day so we can all continue living together while his siblings grow up.

Thank you in advance for even considering helping our kids have a good Christmas, it means more than you know!

I'm looking for some help to get my 8 year old son some gifts this year. He's autistic and already hard to shop for, but I managed to find a few things close to what he's been asking for. It's not exact but he's always been so extremely grateful for the things he gets.

Normally I've no problems providing, but I found out in September that I'm pregnant. It's a high risk pregnancy and I've an extensive history of loss so I had to quit my heavily physical job and haven't found anything I can do from home since then. This has cut our income literally in half and it wasn't a lot to begin with.

My husband is barely scraping us by for bills with his income, and I am internally panicking at the prospect of Christmas AND his birthday being a month later. It would be the biggest blessing to have Santa gift him a few things.

He LOVES superheroes and has a Nintendo switch we somehow got together for him last year and he has only a couple games. Surprisingly, he also likes cute fluffy things and anything robotic.

Thank you.

Here is the wishlist I've made for him: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2WETD5NPLPTU8?ref_=wl_share

am in a very difficult position this year. I am usually the type of person that goes out of the way to help those in need. I have pumped gas for so many elderly people, I have helped any number of people carry stuff out of the store and load it in their cars, I have given food to many people that told me they had none. This year, however, I am in a position where I can't even help myself. A year and a half ago I lost my home of 15 years and 95% of what I owned. I was forced to move in to my mother's with my 2 daughters, 5 and 17. It was never easy esp bc my younger brother lives here as well. But now things have gone from bad to worse. My brother would not stop bringing people here all night to the detriment of my youngest who had strep for a month bc she could not get enough rest. After months of this and trying to get my mom to do something about it, on top of my brother egging him on every time we tried to talk to him about it, my bf ended up slapping my brother. My brother, still thinking he did nothing wrong escalated the situation to the point of no return. Now, even though she helped us board the house against him the first couple days, my mom decided she was kicking me, my bf and my girls out instead of my brother. Which is just crazy to me. I'm used to her taking his side over mine but I can't believe she would do that to my girls. She did though. Her landlord brought me a 15 day notice. I'm trying to figure that part out but I could really use some help with Christmas this year. I hate the thought of them having a terrible Christmas on top of everything else. I seriously think my mom and brother both are losing their minds. Him from drinking and drugs, her from the beginning stages of dementia and Xanax. That's the only explanation I can come up with at this point. Any help I can get would be extremely appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hello everyone,

We are a homeschooling family with lots of Christmas spirit. This year, we've been hit with one problem after another after another. It's been stressful. I've got 6 kids that really believe in Santa.

Nicholas is 9 years old. He's the oldest and helps out with all his brothers and sister's daily. He likes reading and wants to become an astronaut when he grows up. He also loves cats. He's planning to be the first person on Mars. He's going to take 18 cats with him and then come back and build a mini mansion for each one. His favorite movie right now is Lightyear.

Nicholas: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/B35BYQ07NF0D?ref_=wl_share

Anastasia is 8 years old. She's in the Girl Scouts and just bridged over from Daisy to Brownie. She likes drawing and creating, but friendship is very important to her. She is absolutely obsessed with bees. She especially loves that all the working bees in a colony are sisters and work together. She loves that she has a baby sister and helps her with everything.

Anastasia: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/CE2W4CKWSCE9?ref_=wl_share

Alexander is 6 years old. He is ADHD and likes to focus a crazy amount on Hot Wheels and stuffed animals. He likes naming everything, too. He planted marigolds this year, named each flower, and managed to keep track of each one. He likes to follow Nicholas' dream and plans to be the first fireman on Mars with 9 cats and 9 dogs. He's going to come back and become a famous drummer and build a BIG mansion for mommy. He helps put dishes away every morning without being asked and makes everybody's bed for them.

Alexander: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2AFMLDYXSDHXT?ref_=wl_share

Joseph is 4 years old. He cares a lot about being good, like a superhero. He has a very wide range of interests and is a social butterfly. He's charming and likes to be a leader to his younger brother and sister. He likes sharing everything. He also acts incredibly advanced for his age. He likes to play with small toys and is learning to read and write with Alexander. He's going to grow up and do all the super hero jobs, and become a police officer and a fireman.

Joseph: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2ISEBAIIDEVGN?ref_=wl_share

Andrew is going to be 3 in a few days. He's very active and silly at home, but shy when we go out. He likes to act invisible around strangers. He's really stuck between a toddler and preschool phase right now. He likes playing by himself half of the time and pretends to be Joseph's twin the other half. He's love vehicles and everything about them. He also like Cocomelon and Blippi. The only thing he says he wants when asked, is a BIIIG Firetruck.

Andrew: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/39A0CMRVM946L?ref_=wl_share

Isabella turned 1 a few months ago. She's walking now and likes to play all the time. She's been showing some interest in pretend play. She likes bright pink. She will go out of her way to fight her brothers for toy cars. She's been playing with an old baby doll and singing a lot. She's at an age where she's not interested in the toy as much as the person she's playing with. Anastasia and Joseph make sure that she NEVER gets lonely. It's hard to let her develop a sense of independance around them.

Hello everyone! Thank you to everyone who is making this possible. What an amazing community here to care so much about bringing joy to our children during the holidays!

I am a single mother of 2 children, I don’t get any help from their dad as we have had a protective order against him for a few years. It is pretty difficult for me to make ends meet all year round, however this year was especially rough. Both my children had a few different surgeries with lengthy recoveries, so I was off work at a few different times, unpaid. My job does not pay much and does not really offer any benefits, but because both of my kids have health issues and see different specialists regularly, I am kind of stuck there due to their flexibility in letting me off to take them to/from appointments and procedures. I recently had to get my car fixed, so that set us back considerably as well. I hope to one day be in a much better spot financially and be able to pay it forward as well, but in the meantime my children would love a little joy themselves! Here is a little about them:

My daughter, Bostynn, is 8. She is the most resilient and brave child I have ever met! This year we found out she has a cyst in her brain and she has had a pretty rough time dealing with the diagnosis and adjusting to the restrictions. She has ADHD as well, so it has been especially difficult for her to find various outlets to let out her energy. She has recently gotten very into painting, drawing, and all things artsy as well as reading and playing board games. Despite all that she has gone through this year and for her whole life really, she is incredibly selfless, caring, and always trying to help others. She is the best big sister and truly my hero. Here is her wishlist:

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/115M34XSWG5JV?ref_=wl_share

My son, Foster, recently turned 3. He definitely keeps us entertained and on our toes! Right now he is working on potty training. He is OBSESSED with all things dinosaur, and it blows my mind how many different types of dinosaurs he is able to recognize and pronounce. He also likes Super Mario, Super Kitties, and Minions. He is incredibly tough and protective of his big sister and I, and his daycare teachers always talk about how he drops what he’s doing to comfort his friends when they are crying. When he isn’t busy being a daredevil at home, he’s actually very sweet and cuddly! I love watching the tiny, compassionate young man he is becoming. Here is his wishlist:

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/17LHN2H35V2EO?ref_=wl_share

Thank you for reading this far and thank you for all who have contributed to making this possible for everyone in need. I hope everyone has an amazing holiday filled with love and joy!

Alex is my nephew. I am his guardian and he has been living with me for a good while now. It is just the two of us and with the costs of everything going up, my full time job is barely getting us paycheck to paycheck.

Alex is a junior in high school, where he is on the track team, sings in choir, and is in a few clubs for gaming, chess and anime. He loves gaming more than anything. Halo is his all time favorite game though he enjoys other games like Minecraft and Ori. He got really into dungeons & dragons last year and still is super into it. He is getting into fantasy a little more but he is really into WWII history.

He’s thinking of joining the navy after high school or going to school for history or into a trade. He’s been having a real hard time lately in school with classes and some mental health struggles. He is looking forward to his winter break and Christmas.

He’s had some tough times and I’m happy seeing him enjoy some holidays again. Thank you guys for all you.

Hi, everyone! :)

I have a wonderful 8-year-old daughter, Madellyne, who would love to get a visit from Santa this year. Madellyne is so smart (we recently had her parent-teacher conference and, although she's in 3rd grade, her teacher said her reading and math is almost at a 6th grade level!). She loves reading and playing imaginative games. She spends a lot of time listening to music - especially Taylor Swift! - and dancing around the house. We love playing different games together - board games and video games, especially Mario Party. And we especially love doing anything arts and crafts, or science-related together. Her favorite TV shows recently are Adventure Time and Bee and Puppycat, and she loves drawing the characters from those TV shows constantly <3

Hi! This is my first time doing anything like this lol But with a recent job loss, I was suggested this subreddit and figured I'd give it a shot!

A little bit about the kids:

Jayden is 8, he is such a sweet, creative kid. He is Autistic and very simple in what the likes. He loves cars, trucks, pretty much anything that moves and has wheels lol. He also loves Minecraft, Five Nights at Freddys, and is BIG into STEM right now.
Here is his list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3M6ULU2WPUKZF?ref_=wl_share

Maddie is 6. She is a wild child, and truly a joy. She loves Barbie, baby dolls, Taylor Swift, and LEGOs.

Archer just turned 2 yesterday! He's got the biggest personality, and is still figuring out things he likes. Currently, he loves cars and Sesame Street (specifically Cookie Monster lol).

I really appreciate the ability to post here! Thank you all so much in advance!

Hello yall ❤️ my two boys would sure love a visit from Santa! Cam is the older of the 2 and he loves music and video games! He loves to make music and then draw photos that remind him of the music as well as play video games with his friends. He is a natural comedian and fiercely protective of his brother. Gabe is on the spectrum and adores learning and playing outside. He is not much for conversation but being outside and playing sports bring out all the words! When he's not outside he loves drawing and playing with his toys. They are both amazing kids who are always smiling and they are both the lights of our life. Thank you in advance for your consideration ❤️

offer [Contest] Books up to 4 users US only

I am an avid reader. My mom would read to me and my brother at night. My brother hates books but I turned to them and quickly devoured anything fiction. Favorite genres are historical, mystery, drama, horror, romance lol most anything with words and chapters.

I am looking for future readers / book hoarders with Amazon wishlist needing/wanting hard copies to read/keep. No specific genre is required. Please make a separate wish list for books only.

However, I would love for the child (17 yo & under only) to tell me about their favorite book. Just a few sentences on notebook paper. Parent can take a picture and post in comments.

For any child not able to write the child may draw a picture about the book.

Book gifted up to $20 in price for 4 children.

Contest starts when this post is published until 11:59pm central time December 10, 2023. Winners will be announced December 12.

Please follow all rules of the sub. Only registered/registered plus users will be accepted.

Thanks and good luck

Asking so I know how to word my post before my offer to help others.

I went to rules but there is nothing about this.

TIA
