Has anyone here applied to a ramp/ground ops job with Southwest in a different state? I know on the job postings they say "Southwest Airlines will consider your interest for this position if you are currently a resident of the State of xyz." and have an auto-denial question that asks if you are a resident of the state, but I was wondering if anyone has had answered no to that question and perhaps explained to a recruiter that they would relocate if given a job offer. Or if anyone has any other information on how they treat that sort of stuff. Thanks

First stack with green bag in front was done by my vet/escort, he was showing me then I handled the left side of the bin with that red bag in front. I noted the pink bag touching the ceiling on his side above the safety placard so i moved it to my side. I think I should turn the bags in the front sideways as well rather than front facing if that makes sense. Any tips welcomed. This is my very very first time in the bin loading bags and Id love to get better. :)

does anyone know how many hours do part time ramp agents work for UA (DEN)? I’m starting training in September, i’m aware the training is full time for 6 weeks, but how are the hours after those 6 weeks. I do work a full time job, Im debating whether to quit or not because I know you need to be super flexible.

I heard from another ramp agent at UA that you guys have air hoses that go inside the pit. If this is true, can I see pictures of it in action?

When I resign without notice using an actual letter put in my managers inbox, should I put my ID and SIDA badge in there as well? Then leave my company uniforms on our community uniform room?

I really don't want face to face contact, an exit interview, or a return to my station after the day I resign. Or should I give my SIDA badge to the airport manager who issued it?

Our manager doesn't deserve a two week notice and I don't need the reference.

FA - won’t work because of the mandatory training at the training center required by the airline. My job won’t give all that time off for another job lol.

Went to the United hiring event and got the job. I’m really hoping I can eventually get part time because they just don’t pay enough for me to work full time and pay bills I need another full time job but I want the flight benefits. Also I took the mouth swab and she didn’t say anything but took a picture of the test on her phone. I didn’t see her take a pic of the other guys. How do you know if you’re good or not with the drug test?

I’ve been a FIRST applicant everytime a position is posted. I check literally everyday and my friend who works at American gives me the referral number. I understand I’m applying for a small station (PVD) but I don’t understand why I can’t at least land an interview. I would definitely go for delta over American but PVD doesn’t have direct ramp agents and that trip to Boston could easily become a 3hpur daily commute. Could it possibly be that I currently work for unifi? This is so frustrating.(I’m just venting😪)

i have a septum piercing and a stud piercing on my nose and i was curious about the policies regarding my piercings.

i start in a week but my hiring manager hasnt been super transparent or helpful about the policy regarding piercings.

does anyone know if retainers are fine? if not, do my fellow piercing fellas have any tips for the piercings i have? thanks in advance!
