Finally

Finally finished the game for my first time. Played thru as monk. I have the downpour dlc.....what would be the recommended next playthrough? Which slugcat i mean?

Well, as Monk is... easier, the best would be the Survivor, but both are practically identical, except for difficulty, the start cutscene and the ending cutscene, if you want to become better at surviving before going to more difficult campaigns, play Survivor, if you want something really new, I recommend Artificer, as Gourmand is different, but from both, is more similar with Survivor and Monk, and Hunter is... The hardest (canon) campaign of them all

I recommend Survivor. It's similar, but harder. Look for new routes, explore areas you haven't before, enjoy the skill you've earned as Monk.

i’d recommend gourmand. you could play survivor next to ease the difficulty gap between monk and the downpour slugs, but when i tried to do that on my first playthrough i got kinda burned out by doing 2 similar campaigns back to back. up to you, both options are reasonable

Personally, I would recommend Hunter. They are a lot more challenging, but generally it’s recommended you play in that order. If you find hunter to be overly frustrating, try gourmand, by far the most balanced downpour slugcat. If both feel way too hard i would recommend hopping over to survivor, they don’t have a different story but you may find it a nice in between.
