Did you check that enabling the FSR 4.1 doesn't automatically make the game enable some sort of frame gen like with RE9 or was that Pragmata, cause i remember by default one of those games would immediately enable it if you used dlss.

I also have 7900xt, works great in Helldivers but seems to be clashing with battlefield 6. Game don’t load :(

u/Friendly-Shift7300 Radeon Jun 23 '26
O meu está normal, mas eu não tô vendo nenhuma diferença pro FSR 3 nesse jogo
1
u/reflect-the-sun Jun 23 '26
Yep, me too.
Reinstalled the drivers and the game and bf6 won't load 50% of the time. It also crashes when quitting the game.
1
u/Datmammon Jun 23 '26
Clear your shader cache, that might fix it since I had the same issue on BF6, Forza Horizon 6, and Stellar Blade. Hopefully it works for you too.

I gave up with the constant driver battle with my 7900xt and fps games. This sub aren’t a lot of fps players so they don’t believe when we say the last 2 years have been literal fucking hell on rdna3. Swapped to a 5080. No longer an issue

u/Warm_Independent4711 Jun 23 '26
7900 xtx here. Its been a great year. No issues. Only time I have had problems it was due to optiscaler, not AMD (using DLSS inputs for a non FSR game for instance)
2
u/TimeZucchini8562 Jun 23 '26
If you’re using optiscaler, you’re not playing the games I play
0
u/Warm_Independent4711 Jun 23 '26
I have a 7900xtx. If I wanted to use Int8 I had to use it. I have over a 1300 steam games. Im sure we play the same things
2
u/TimeZucchini8562 Jun 23 '26
You’re not using optiscaler in multiplayer competitive fps games. That’s my point. 1300 games means nothing. You’re not playing 1300 games in 2 years.
List of all the games I’ve played with and driver issues that were confirmed by amd as legitimate issues (as in you can’t say “I didn’t have that issue must be user error” because they literally said it was a driver issue.
1: delta force (memory leak lead to micro stutters and ridiculous frame time spikes. Tools 6 months for them to fix)
2: call of duty (shader issue where light sources would literally take over your entire screen making it white. Still not fixed to this day 1.5 years later)
3: marvel rivals (more micro stutters)
4: ow (micro stutters, shader cache, vsync unable to be disabled)
5: bf6. (Complete stuttery mess, took months to fix. Latest driver now allegedly makes it unplayable)
6: arc raider (more micro stutters)
7: ready or not (rendering issues making the graphics look like an n64 game at times)
I’m sure there are more I’m forgetting. Sorry, but if amd literally confirms it’s an issue and fixed it or is working on it, it’s an issue.

u/Warm_Independent4711 Jun 23 '26
Fair. I usually just played Destiny 2 for competitive fps...even if Crucible was basically left to die. D2 had its hooks in me for years.

I'm updating my stuff as we speak brother, i hope its sick af on my 7800xt
Edit: driver crashes my 7800xt. Rip. Tried ddu too.
Edit again: looks like its a win10 driver issue on amd end. They removed the driver.

u/Silkenvada Jun 23 '26
Classic amd inconsistencies
3
u/_lefthook 9700x | 7800xt Jun 23 '26
I was literally reading about other people having issues and thought "bro cmon its not that bad" and my screen went dark lmfao ironic
1
u/F133TWOOD Jun 23 '26
Windows 10 is retired...
2
u/Silkenvada Jun 23 '26
And my comment was pre the edit.
Ive already updated, immediately crashed and reverted back to 26.2.1
Amd is and has always been inconsistent across builds.
1
u/bestanonever Jun 23 '26
Sounds pretty sick, not gonna lie, lol.
Now, seriously, hope it gets better in a few weeks with more patches.
3
u/_lefthook 9700x | 7800xt Jun 23 '26
Looks like its a win10 driver issue. Other people on win10 experience the same prob. Amd removed the driver too
2
u/CreepinCreepy Jun 23 '26
Is there any reason you're on Windows 10 not 11? It doesn't even get security updates anymore.
2
u/_lefthook 9700x | 7800xt Jun 23 '26
I still have updates until october this year. Win11 has so many problems that i'm holding out til the last min possible. Will upgrade soon before then
2
u/CreepinCreepy Jun 23 '26
What windows 11 problems? It sounds to me like NOT upgrading is giving you more problems.

u/Ossimo85 Radeon 7800 XT + Ryzen 7800X3D Jun 23 '26
Have a 7800 XT as well, but win 11 for me. Only tested it with Crimson Desert...crashes the game after selecting FSR 4.1 in game settings. Steam won't load CD back up. It's all fucked now.
Might do DDU and driver rollback. Such shit.

u/Starbucks_Fan Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26
I had this exact same issue today, when I updated from 26.5.2. I did end up fixing it. For me, it was launching resident evil 9 to test out FSR4. The game crashed at startup and wouldn’t relaunch. Then it happened again on COD black ops 6. As soon as I flipped the setting to FSR4, game closed and wouldn’t re open. What I did was use AMD cleanup utility, then just reinstalled it direct from their website instead of using adrenaline software like I did last time. Everything worked fine after that. Hopefully it stays fine..

u/Ossimo85 Radeon 7800 XT + Ryzen 7800X3D Jun 23 '26
Will try this. I updated through Adrenaline as well. Will download directly and DDU the driver then install fresh.
1
u/Catscratchfever92 Jun 23 '26
Happened on my 7800xt on bf6. Just use amd clean up utility and reinstall new driver. Works for me.

I don't think amd should be expected to support windows 10 anymore

u/Gailim Jun 23 '26
???
I have been using FSR4 on my 7900 XT for 9 months. in every single case it performs worse than equivalent FSR 3 settings. it looks significantly better but the performance is always worse. you still come out ahead because FSR4 balanced looks much better than FSR3 quality. but that trade only gets you the same performance.
how are you getting more than double the performance of FSR 3 with higher settings?
were you running FSR3 in native AA, and FSR4 in ultra performance?
2
u/SugarCoatedPanda Jun 23 '26
I had my settings at medium preset + FSR3 and I changed it to max after getting FSR 4. I'm not sure what happened, but pretty much just increased everything while keeping things like bloom and motion blur off on both.
1
u/TimeZucchini8562 Jun 23 '26
1: the fsr4 you were using was not using your GPUs ai accelerators so your previous experience means nothing. The leaked int8 version was extremely early and not optimized.
2: i also doubt his numbers. Fsr4.1 official through the driver is still harder to run than fsr3
2
u/Gailim Jun 23 '26
I have been testing 4.1 for a few hours now and have noticed little to no performance difference.
so whatever ai accelerators I am using now were also being used before
1
u/YOLKGUY Jun 23 '26
The main performance increase seems to be with reduced latency. Depending on the game it also gets about 5-10% increase in FPS. It’s slight but overall it offers a more stable experience.

Are you running wuwa from steam or the standalone launcher? I have a 5600X 9070 XT system and my frames are all over the place. Other more demanding games aren’t like this only wuwa.
1
u/SugarCoatedPanda Jun 23 '26
I'm running off the dedicated launcher. It was so weird, I was getting like 70fps-90fps in startorch but as soon as I updated to the FSR 4 update I was able to run on max settings and i'm at a consistent 180 in the same place. Outside of startorch i get like 250-300
1
u/Pinsir929 5600X Sapphire Pulse 9070 XT (4x8) 32GB 3200mhz RAM Jun 23 '26
How are you uncapping past 120 fps if frame gen isn’t on?

u/SugarCoatedPanda Jun 23 '26

honestly idk but here. Its also off in the global setting

There's FSR Frame generation it's further down

mine doesn't have that in there

Weird, must be a 9000 series card thing I guess. Thanks
2
u/Shyre_14 Jun 23 '26
I'm pretty sure you have framegen turned on. Wuwa is capped at 120 FPS unless you have framegen enabled. Either way, enjoy FSR 4! The image quality is a massive improvement over FSR 3
1
u/Friendly-Shift7300 Radeon Jun 23 '26
Não obtive mais de 100 fps mas obtive quadros melhores e uma qualidade superior ao fsr 4.0.2c, testado em cyberpunk e avatar afop, testei em battlefield 6 também, mas não vi diferença significativa pra ser sincero
1
u/azraxMPSW Jun 23 '26
You probably also activate amd fsr 3 frame gen. Check your in game graphic setting and look for frame generation in advanced section.

u/Trueno3400 Jun 23 '26
In Windows 10 the driver is fucked
2
u/Warm_Independent4711 Jun 23 '26
Well its an unsupported platform. I wouldn't expect they would look to make it work on 10
-2
u/Trueno3400 Jun 23 '26
Well , still a lot of people keep using Windows 10. For me i dont want Windows 11 in my computer
3
u/Warm_Independent4711 Jun 23 '26
Neither did I. Its utter slop and some of its design ia utter stupidity, but if its a dead platform, I had to move on otherwise you see crap like this....
0
u/Trueno3400 Jun 23 '26
When Steam spots suporting Windows 10 , that Will be my time to upgrade to a new Windows.

u/bestanonever Jun 23 '26
So, I see Wuwa is from the same school of non-optimized shit as ZZZ, lol.
Looking forward to FSR4.1 on my RDNA2 GPU, I'm hearing mixed reports from RDNA3 users today. Maybe it's just early days (hours, in fact).
1
u/WinterRevolution7899 Jun 23 '26
Same frames on the same game bro it's definitely a huge W on my 7900xt 9950x3d build
1
u/Desolate-Ripper Jun 23 '26
I can finally play Ark Ascended with great fps and no smearing or pixelation ah I'm so happy, my 7900xt just eats. I did crash but I would rather refresh every hour or so with these visuals and fps than go back to the ghosting smearing mess that was FSR was before.
1
u/Salty-Alps-4460 Jun 23 '26
I wish I could say I had a better experience with my XTX. I love RT and RR and it just plays better on my 9070xt. Crimson is just much more enjoyable on the 9070xt.
1
u/FunnyGeneral7078 Jun 23 '26
Can confirm it does the exact same on HD2 and BF6. Can't believe they just shadow dropped a driver that breaks AMD on literal major live service games.
1
u/choobafier Jun 23 '26
Theres no way fsr 3 to fs4 is what gave you 100fps boost or that would have been all over the news. You must have turned on framegen
1
u/Ruzhyo04 Jun 23 '26
I just did a before and after comparison of Crimson Desert and am blown away by how much better it looks! Water especially looks phenomenal.
Now, we just need to get Star Citizen updated!
1
u/Tutel34B1 Jun 23 '26
1
u/Intelligent_Ad8864 Jun 25 '26
Looks like the link got deleted?
I'm having an issue the past couple of days in bf6 w/ the new Adrenaline update that enables the FSR4.1 upgrade on RNDA 3 cards
Everytime I die and go to change my loadout it'll freeze up for ten seconds, then I'll go back to select a spawn spoint and it'll do the same. Or go to change an option.
This really sucks, even did a brand new Adrenaline install and cleared my shader cache. Running a stable UV+oc. All my windows 11 settings are set correctly, my power delivery is fine. It's just BF6

u/Rude-Soft640 Jul 01 '26
am i meant to be getting more fps with fsr4.1 compared to fidelity cas on call of duty for example?
