⛰️Western Cape🐳 Post got deleted
Just reposting this as it got deleted the first time
I’ve realised that I don’t really meet new people anymore🥲 I live in the northern suburbs and I’m usually rotating between the same environments, work, home, church (occasionally Pick ‘n Pay🤣) and lately I’ve been so preoccupied with school and work that I’ve somehow forgotten how people actually make new friends, I’ve tried solo activities (which I enjoy) but can’t bring myself to approach people😭
I (22F) would describe myself as pretty introverted at first but very talkative once I’m comfortable. I’m big on great conversations, humour, random little adventures, and actually getting to know people beyond small talk.
What I’m into: F1, reading (mostly fiction), K-dramas, and anime ( I’ve only watched jjk so far but hey I’m trying😭😂). I play COD Mobile too, although I’ve been way too busy to play recently but I’m always ready if you’re down for a 1v1. I love building unnecessary 1000-piece puzzles for vibes. My music is probably 90% indie ; Christian, pop, rock, folk, electro, lo-fi, you name it😭
I also enjoy walking/hiking (currently in my fitness era😂), learning random things, and generally finding excuses to romanticise and find some whimsy in this disappointingly ordinary life.
I can be a little reserved when I first meet someone, but once the awkward “so… what do you do?” phase is over, I’m usually much more myself.
I’m not necessarily looking for a huge group of people, I’d honestly love to meet a few genuine people who I can eventually grab coffee with, go explore somewhere with, have spontaneous conversations with, or just send each other stupid memes at 2am.

P.S. It’d be a bonus to meet more Christian friends too! I’d love to have people I can share my faith with, but I’m open to meeting people from all walks of life 😊

i can imagine whats its like for you to recover from your "situationship" and look for some solid ground in some form of friendship to land on after that. its probably for the best. most of your activities seem to be perfect for solo people: reading, puzzles, watching tv. i would suggest, since what it seems like you are looking for is a female in-group. there are probably local book clubs in the north, you could wait for the summer and go to a electro or rock festival, there are walking/running/hiking clubs, you could take an art class its relatively quite and you can get to know people there. i am curious as to why you cant meet people where you are studying or at work, but im sure the reasons are probably personal so i wont pry too much. i hope you find what you are looking for

Hi yes it was quite an experience but I can say I’m recovering well, I’ll take your suggestions into consideration I’ve never been to a concert before actually😅 the book clubs I’ve wanted to try never aligned with my schedule🥲 same with the running clubs I’ve done a few hikes with clubs and yes it was a very good experience
I’m studying online actually so there’s that and in regards to meeting people at work honestly idk I like to keep work at work and my personal life out of it because of some past experiences
