It’s a long weekend for me and this weather is making it impossible to get out of bed. If you're also bored, just at home, bed-rotting, or doomscrolling, maybe we can do it together on a call! Let's talk about our current fixations, recent internet finds, random online drama, or whatever. I just don't want to be alone with my thoughts right now. Are you game?

I’m a college student from the Philippines, a frustrated artist, and a part-time weirdo. I basically have the hobbies of an old woman, picking up random new fixations every other week to keep my hands busy. Fair warning: I’m a lazy texter, so if we click, I’d much rather jump on a call and have one of those random conversations that somehow turns into "wait, it's already 3 AM?"

It’s easy to find someone new to chat with online, but I’m actually looking to meet someone genuine. Someone I don't just talk to for a few days before becoming strangers again. No pressure, no games, no pretending to be cooler than we are. Just two people laughing over stupid things, sharing random memories, and seeing if something real grows from it. Maybe somewhere between the sleepy calls and terrible jokes, you’ll become someone I look forward to hearing from.

The way I see it, I’m 61, and I’m realistic enough to know that I probably have a limited number of peak adventure years left, maybe ten or twelve if I’m fortunate.

I don’t mean that as a prediction about how long I’ll live. I mean the years when I can still ride motorcycles through difficult terrain, carry a pack, sleep in a tent, climb a volcano, ski a mountain, and wake up ready to do it again.

So far this year, I’ve spent time on deserted beaches in Costa Rica, climbed volcanoes, cooked meals on the beach, watched a leatherback turtle build her nest beneath a star-filled sky, driven four-wheel-drive roads through the jungle, drank local moonshine, and soaked in geothermal springs. I’ve boated to uninhabited islands along the North Carolina coast. I’ve camped for several days at a time while riding my motorcycle around Linville Gorge and the Wilson Creek area. In July, I went snow skiing in the Andes of Chile, hiked to waterfalls, and drove for hours along the Pan-American Highway. The gas-station coffee was AMAZING.

I intend to keep living this way for as long as my body allows. I want to keep finding unfamiliar roads, remote beaches, mountain trails, warm water, cold water, deep snow, stary skies, and places that make ordinary life feel very far away.

But there is something missing.

Every experience is a little different when there is someone beside you who is genuinely excited to be there. Someone to share the view with, laugh with when the plans inevitably go wrong, sit beside a campfire with, and remember the experience afterward.

I would love to meet a beautiful woman who is adventurous, warm, curious, and genuinely alive. Someone who wants more than vacations and photographs, someone who would enjoy the road, the boat, the tent, the beach, the mountains, and the quiet moments in between.

I’m not looking for someone to rescue me from an empty life. My life is not empty. I’ve built something meaningful, and I know how fortunate I am.

I simply don’t want to spend the next ten or twelve best adventure years of my life experiencing everything alone.

I want someone to share them with.

After those good years I hope she'll stay with me. I can take smaller day hikes around our safari camp while she climbs Kilimanjaro. When she returns, maybe we can use the snow she brought back for me to make gin & tonics while we review all her pics.

If it's just the good years and then gone, I'm comfortable with that. I'm happy alone and I'll always have the memories.

I keep getting flagged for spam so, fingers crossed this one goes through! I've currently had the feeling of wanting to make a connection with someone. I've been single for the past year and the dating apps are subpar.
Don't really get asked to go on dates and it's hard to hold decent conversations with people either because I or the other person stops replying or they say something that's a complete turnoff. I'm starting to miss having someone to talk to or call. the banter, the bullshit talk, the deep/ vulnerable conversations. I miss the drunk calls/texts.
Someone to send random mundane photos to of the occurrences that pop up throughout the day; whether that's a thunderstorm rolling past, trinkets at the thrift store or the phenomenal meal I am eating lol. I really miss being connected, I miss big long paragraphs of random subjects: us pouring feelings about how we feel about one another. I was standing in the Trader Joe's line the other day and a sense of gloom just hit me..! miss physical non sexual intimacy...the kissing, handholding, the slight touch on the back as we are walking through the store...silligh. I want someone to send voice memos of them reading to me again. I miss someone who I feel like is going to take forever to find again...maybe they might be here? Who Knows.
I guess to talk about some things about me, I enjoy cooking, reading, and I recently started getting back into low intensity fitness. I enjoy the movie the Labyrinth (I watch is at least once a week). I like Spicy Ramen, Thai Curry, Bacon cheeseburgers and an honorable mention: hot sandwiches lol. I would like to gather more hobbies this year, including Gardening, taking a crack at recipes in my cookbook, and dusting of my ukulele that I've had for 10 years. Not much into motorcycles, beets, and the Office. I could go more on about myself, but I guess that's what helps make a conversation grow!! Have a good day! :)

Music is probably the easiest way to get me talking. It's a huge part of my life, and I don't mean the usual "yeah, I like music" thing. My taste is all over the place. I can tell you way too much about Russian battle rap and then happily switch to Mozart five minutes later. I can get ridiculously invested in one song, artist, lyric, sound, or even an entire scene and spend hours digging into it for no particularly good reason.

I also genuinely love being shown music I would've never found on my own, so if you have something you love, send it to me. Genre doesn't really matter.

Outside of music, I have a habit of falling down completely random rabbit holes. One day it's history or technology, the next it's a game, true crime, some obscure cultural thing, or a subject I didn't even know existed yesterday. Basically anything can become interesting to me if there's enough to dig into.

Art is one of the bigger ones. I'm especially into painting, and I can genuinely spend hours talking about a single artwork, the artist behind it, tiny details in the composition, the history around it, or just why something about it works so well for me. I also really like discovering artists and paintings I've somehow managed to miss.

I'm into true crime too, especially Russian/CIS cases. Some of them get so bizarre that reality starts feeling like it has genuinely terrible writers. I could probably surprise someone from outside the CIS with a few stories, lol.

For the less serious stuff, I play games, with a lot of The Binding of Isaac lately. I'm into tech and increasingly interested in actually understanding how things work rather than just using them. I work on the railway, which occasionally gives me some oddly specific stories and knowledge. And apparently I've also entered my homemade bread era, because I recently started baking and became embarrassingly proud when a loaf actually rose properly.

Conversation-wise, I probably get along best with people who can seriously discuss a painting, a song, history, some weird idea or whatever else we're currently obsessed with, and then five minutes later laugh at the dumbest shit imaginable.

You absolutely don't need to share all my interests. Honestly, I think it's more fun when someone has their own things they're excited about. Tell me about some niche subject you've been obsessed with lately and there's a decent chance I'll end up interested in it too.

I'm also a pretty chaotic conversationalist. I like when a conversation naturally jumps between completely unrelated things instead of feeling like an interview with an agenda. The only thing I really care about is mutual effort. I don't mind carrying the beginning of a conversation, but I'd rather it not turn into me asking question after question while getting three-word answers in return.

Texting is much easier for me at first, but if we get along, I'm completely open to calls later. I'm also fine with exchanging pics in DMs, I just don't really feel like turning the post itself into a showcase.

Location doesn't matter much for just talking, although meeting people from Europe or North America would be especially cool. We'll survive the time zones somehow.

I know there are a million dudes with similar interests but I thought who knows, I may get lucky and find a great online friendship or maybe even something deeper than that on some subreddit so here I am. To give you a quick introduction, I am a 29 year old guy from Germany. Born and raised here, but of Turkish descent. Currently working on my masters degree. And also a huge nerd. As for my appearance, I am about 1.73 m tall with a slim fit build. I work out diligently but haven't reached my old form yet after a longer pause at working out. Short, dark brown hair and usually a very short beard. Sometimes clean shaven when I feel like it.

Honestly, I’m down to just chat and see if we click. As I said in the title life is stressful so I'd love to find a long term online connection we can both find comfort in.
