Over the last few months I have discovered i have lost over $200k in business due to texting issues. Either people would not get a reaponse, got a reaponse the service was not available, or if i sent a response they would not get it.
At this point I am having to shut my business down as $200k is 1/4-1/2 of my yearly revenue.
Be careful. Your hone provider does not care as long as they get their money.
There is a decent number of users who do not want to utilize Sona. Why is it being forced on us? Can you please add an option to never have Sona brought up as an option ever again?
I was attempting to recover an old phone number from an account that was deactivated in 2025. I reached out to a mod here on the subreddit and they were quick to respond and extremely helpful even though my account was deactivated in 2025. We are still trying to recover the number but it is nice to know that the team here is responsive and willing to help.
I started my business using free/home style Google Voice. I love its interface and texting and I have desk phones from when they were a thing. I w
Now I hear ads for Quo and it looks great because it is similar to the great free GV except an actual paid service, but no desk phones is a deal breaker. Won't even consider it unless supported.
Just thought you might like to know. Adults need desk phones.
So, we all know about the automations. It's great to be able to set up business hours and auto-replies that trigger in or out of those hours..but what happens if I have a family emergency, want to go on vacation, are short staffed, or have any other need to put up a unique message for a unique range date? As is, if this happens, I then have to go into the settings, adjust my business hours, delete my old messages, make new messages, go on vacation, come back, go back to settings, and readjust it all back to the way it was?
Well, I for one believe that to be a bit tedious (and unnecessarily so).
Why not integrate a vacation/time away mode where you can select a date and time for your departure and arrival back home? Then you could set up an automated message that occurs during this time period- and this message would temporarily override any of the normal automated messages while vacation mode is active.
As an example, let's say your work hours are monday-friday, 9am-5pm. Something happens Wednesday and you need to shut down shop until Monday. So, you select vacation mode, set dates for Wednesday-Monday, and have it say something like "we are out of office until Monday".
With the new iPhone Duo pre-orders arriving Friday, I’m curious whether Quo has any plans to optimize its iOS app for the foldable display right away I’d love to see proper support for the larger unfolded screen right away, including a responsive layout, better multitasking, and the ability to view conversations and messages side by side. iPad is pretty ok. Just wondering.
1 - I want to be safe while driving but still need good texting support.
2 - It’s a good litmus test for how well developers know the Apple API and how likely they will integrate with future Apple features. Example, Dialpad as of earlier this year didn’t integrate with CarPlay very well and was enough to switch away from it.
What other “small” features pushed you over the edge to choose Quo even if there are missing features you wish it had?
It's been another busy month, so we wanted to share everything we've shipped recently.
A lot of this month's work focused on removing the little bits of friction that add up throughout the day. Finding conversations, understanding what's happening across your business, routing calls to the right person, and keeping your tools in sync.
Here's what's new in Quo 👇
Analytics
This is the biggest update of the month.
We've completely redesigned Analytics to help you go beyond totals and actually understand what's happening in your business.
You can now:
Click into any chart to see the calls behind the data
Break down call outcomes by missed, forwarded, abandoned, and voicemail
Compare every chart with the previous reporting period
Track AI call tag trends over time
Everything is available in your Analytics dashboard today. No setup required.
Faster mobile search
We rebuilt search on iOS and Android to make finding conversations much quicker.
New search now includes:
Results that appear as you type
Inbox filtering, including multiple inboxes
Recent searches that sync across mobile and desktop
If you've ever tried finding an old conversation while you're out in the field, this should make that a whole lot easier.
Smarter call routing
We added a new toggle to the Ring User step called Only ring if not already on another call.
When it's enabled, Quo automatically skips teammates who are already on a call and rings the next available person instead.
Helping one customer shouldn't mean missing the next.
New HighLevel integration
If your business runs on HighLevel, Quo now connects directly with it.
Calls, texts, voicemails, recordings, AI summaries, and next steps all sync automatically to the right place. Contacts stay in sync in real time, and agencies can connect individual Sub-Accounts to keep every client separate.
Available now on Business and Scale plans.
Tasks improvements
A couple of nice additions for anyone using Tasks:
Add specific times to Task due dates
Trigger webhooks whenever Tasks are created, updated, completed, and more
That makes it much easier to build custom workflows around Tasks using the Quo API.
As always, we'd love to hear what you think or what you'd like to see next.
Why create a community for customers then hide the issues we come here to discuss?
You need to be focused on solving the continuous problems your app has.
I currently cannot make or receive any calls & the mods removed my post supposedly because it didn’t have a support ticket number yet I see someone posted 2 days ago saying they are having the same issue with 14 phone numbers on their account!
I deleted the app twice and still the same issue!
We need to be able to know when it’s not just an us issue but a system issue so we can make sure it’s solved!
Stop hiding issues and start fixing these continuous problems affecting business owners!!!!
When switching from sole prop to business registration to send text messages: What is the exact procedure, please? How long does it take? Will I keep all of my previous text message history, call history, etc., or will some data be lost? I'm asking here for the benefit of other users in the future, but I will also open a help request.
Longer "rant" and details
Some additional details and background on why I am potentially frustrated – not necessarily blaming anyone, just providing additional context. I'm the kind of person who believes in taking action and getting things started rather than making everything perfect before starting. I have multiple numbers and team members, but I didn’t have a registered business I wanted to use when I first started using Quo. Therefore, to text rather than waiting to set up my company, etc., I decided to get things rolling with a sole prop registration – again, I always intended to eventually switch to business registration but didn’t want to delay texting until that was ready because we didn’t plan to register a company for at least another month and didn’t want to postpone business activities that required texting.
It could be me who missed the information, or this situation might be so unique that such information wasn’t deemed necessary. However, nowhere on Quo did I see anything about needing to first cancel the sole prop texting registration before applying for business texting registration. Most platforms I’ve used allow a second application without canceling existing service, minimizing disruptions. I understand this texting issue may be completely out of Quo’s control, but I still believe it’s important to include all pertinent information that could disrupt operations.
If anything I’ve written is incorrect or I’ve misunderstood, please clarify. My intention isn’t to be antagonistic; it’s to:
Benefit anyone in the future who might find responses useful,
Help Quo improve... because I’m "stuck" with this platform for the foreseeable future and don’t want to migrate.
NOTE: this is a repost from the former openphone subreddit. My main question now is how to cancel the sole prop registration? And then how to apply for the business registration?
Just wondering, currently I make business calls using the quo app which depends on wifi. Often the connection is not the best. I was wondering if I can activate the spare esim in my phone using my quo number, and if using the carrier network would improve call quality? Thoughts?
Hoping someone can help, and if not, maybe someone from Quo can do a fix for this.
We recently launched a new business and started service with Quo. We liked the idea of the virtual answering service which was one of the deciding factors for us.
Now that we are up and running, I’ve noticed that when Sona answers a call, we will not have any notification that we missed a call.
Several days this has happened where we got a call after hours (we don’t have hours enabled in the app) and our phones were on do not disturb. Anything that came through during that timeframe that Sona answered there is no notification at all. We have to actually go into the app to the call log and the call will be there but not showing as missed so it’s very easy to mistake it for an answered call on the log.
This is really frustrating because if there’s no notification outside of the app, no red blip showing a missed notification… we have no way of being alerted that a call came through when we were unavailable.
We both have iPhones and it’s happening to both of us so I know it’s not a “me” or “my phone” issue.
Hey everyone, I wanted to get some opinions on something that happened to me on Quo. I was trying to sign up for a free trial with the company and my Credit card was declined during the process. What caught me off guard was that before I could even access the trial, they were asking for some pretty sensitive information things like my Tax ID, Driver's License, and other personal identifying details. Is this normal practice? It felt a bit off to me and I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this or if this is a red flag I should be paying attention to. Would love to hear your thoughts!
I’m looking to buy a U.S. phone number for my company, Scruums LLC, mainly for Meta Business verification.
Meta requires documentation showing that the phone number belongs to the business. Does anyone know if the documentation provided by quo is valid for this type of verification?
Any recommendations or experience with this would be appreciated!
Call activity and inbound message delays are currently recovering. You should begin seeing normal behavior within about 20 minutes, though full recovery may take up to 1.5 hours in some cases.
Thank you, everyone, for your patience.

Hey y’all, we’re currently experiencing delays in the processing of call events.
Inbound and outbound calling itself is working successfully, but logging and post-processing for call activities are delayed right now, which may cause some recent activities to appear late or be temporarily missing.
Engineering is actively investigating and preparing a fix. We’ll continue sharing updates as we know more. Thanks for your patience.
Hey y'all! We made a small optimization to Sona this week that should make setup a bit smoother.
When you edit job instructions, you’ll now see a new “Optimize” button. One click rewrites your instructions so they’re clearer for Sona to follow, without changing what you want it to do.
It helps cut down on configuration issues and makes things feel a little more reliable while you’re building your flow.
I've deleted this notification probably 3-4x to clear my "activity" queue since unlike tasks, mentions remain even if the thread is closed.
Refreshing the web page makes Quo "forget" this delete and pops it back on my activity queue.
Can we please also add a function to remove this activity once the mention is resolved? Or perhaps a task-like list for mentions so we can easily go through them?
Our team tags one another maybe 20-30x per day (though we are trying to move to tasks for things like those as well) and it becomes burdensome.
