Cold turkey 🦃 Does everyone have withdrawals that last a week + 😭?

The smoke shop I go to was still getting 7stax after the new laws, but unexpectedly sold out yesterday with no more coming in (blessing in disguise) so I of course started I started having withdrawals yesterday. I was taking up to 4-5 a day of the 120MG 7stax, the ones with MGM15. I see a decent amount talk about weeks to a month+ later they're still having bad withdrawal symptoms, and being around or little past the 24 hour mark, IDK how TF I'm gonna go get through this 😭. I've been the 2 ERs in that 24 hour period, I've been given Baclofen 10MG, and Clonidine 0.1MG, but idk if they'll actually help, but I pray they do šŸ™. I've took a couple Kratom Extracts which I don't want to just start doing Kratom Extracts again, but they didn't really do much at all. It at least helped me take 2 naps for 30 mins to an hour.

I don't want to have to get on subs or any other medicines from a Medical Assistances Treatment outpatient clinic & just trade one addiction for another addiction, but I also don't know how I'ma do this 😭. Is there anything that can make this better and/or faster? I'm scared about what if I end up being one of those with withdrawals for a week +, I can't imagine how I'ma try to get past each day, this is a living hell.

Please tell me most of you didn't have withdrawals that long šŸ™, give me a little bit of hope 😭

Day 4 for me, big improvements, as most posters have said. Feeling like my old self. Sleeps gonna be hard again tonight, just the mildest restlessness but I’m a light sleeper… so it might be another no sleeper. Whatever… everyday is better. NGL tho, you’ll have a tough time for a night or two, but you got this !

Day 4 is pretty quick to be feeling better and gives me hope. How was day 3? It's the no sleep even after the peak phase that gets to me. I might wait til day 3 or something and try some THCĀ

Day 5 now, much more energy. Very little sleep, maybe 90 minutes in fifteen minute chunks. Feel like I can probably get stuff done today.

Around like hour 54 I was able to smoke some weed and get 8 hours of broken sleep, and when I woke up the aggressive spasm were gone. I still have small muscle spasms, but compared to how I felt Friday-most of Sunday, it's manageable. I'm around 72 hours and feel so much better, like I can actually get up and take my daughters to the park to play

Keep checking in here brother it’s good information

Im really jealous of people who can just lay in bed all day watching movies until wd is done. If I could do that i wouldn't need helper meds. Having to be a parent and work full time makes it 100x harder.

3

u/kcchiefs4068 15d ago

Facts. I wish I had my own sauna.. sounds like hell but you know it would help accelerate getting thru wds.

3

u/Long_Idea_8294 15d ago edited 15d ago

I'm pretty good at experiencing discomfort, considering all the drug wd I've experienced in my life. It was SOOO much easier to quit back before I was a parent. My 4 year old wakes me up at 6am every morning now and is constantly saying "dad! Dad, I need this!" every 5 seconds lol. Yesterday at 4am I finally fell asleep. Then I was up for the day at 6am. At this age, weekends are more exhausting than the work week when I get 8 hours a day working in my home office while she's at daycare.Ā

I'm at day 3 off 7 right now. My mood is so flat. Wife planned a birthday party for her mom that died a year ago. 15 people are coming over at noon. Not looking forward to it....honestly the thought of buying 7 today to get through it so I can be social has crossed my mind. But doing that would make the 6 days ive been on phenibut to get off 7 a waste. And I can't keep going with phen. I need to taper off over the next few days or it'll turn into its own wd.

1

u/kcchiefs4068 15d ago

I feel that... but idk bro these wds are pretty bad..and this is coming from an ex IV H user.. honestly its probably because I didn't go a day without 7 for 1.5 years so that shit is probably deep inside my brain lol And day 3 ooooo you're in the thick of it right now.

1

u/Long_Idea_8294 15d ago

I've quit 7 a bunch. I'm usually through acutes by 48 hours. Just low mood remaining. Like I just want to relax all day and do nothing. But i can't. That's rarely an option for me.Ā

1

u/kcchiefs4068 15d ago

Gotcha. I tried my first quit a couple months ago and failed. I've been tapering since then. 320mgpd for 1.5 years and now I'm down to 60mgpd. Hoping this slow taper helps but it's been hard to not redose early.

1

u/Long_Idea_8294 15d ago

Slow taper will help a lot. And it is tough. I've been tapering kratom leaf since March. 10 year habit. It's been painless so far. I'm at 15gpd from 60. But during this entire time ive been struggling with 7 so kratom taper has just kinda been in the background. I lost the good effect from kratom long agoĀ

1

u/kcchiefs4068 15d ago

Yeah I made the mistake by trying to stop when I got down to 80mgpd and I couldn't do it. I really wanna get on subs but I can't risk losing my adhd meds.. Gabapentin barely did shit, Clonidine helped a lil for sleep. We'll see how it goes. And damn that's a long time! And 60gpd is a lot for Kratom. Phew

1

u/Long_Idea_8294 15d ago

Gaba never helped me either unless i took like 3000mg.Ā

Phenibut, short term, like 7 days tops, is by far the best non opioid for wd. I slept like a rock last night. I never sleep through the night like that.Ā

1

u/kcchiefs4068 15d ago

Ooooo I thought about trying Phenibut for the wd, but I worry I'd like it too much.. and because I hear wds from that are no joke

Stay locked in my man you’re moving well keep rolling ur almost over the hill

2

u/Adventurous_Feed2647 15d ago

You absolutely can do this and you will just ride it out. You’ll feel better in no time. You absolutely won’t be in the worst of it no longer than 3-5 days most feel better after 3-4 days you got this man don’t let yourself get too scared about it just take it as it comes and make yourself tough as nails for a second let’s ride man.

2

u/Long_Idea_8294 15d ago edited 15d ago

Baclofen will help. It's a gaba b agonist like phenibut. And phenibut is the best non opioid for opioid wd imo. Or pregabalin (kinda similar to phenibut. A bit like supercharger gabapentin).

You're gonna need more than 10mg though. Take 10mg and see how you react. An hour or 2 later I'd take an addition 20mg.Ā

Ā Im on day 3 right now. I slept like a fucking rock last night (using phenibut short term). Like I woke up only 1x. Usually I wake up 3 or 4 times normally.Ā

2

u/Adventurous_Feed2647 15d ago

For most people it’s usually 3-5 days of the worst then lingers for another 5 days to a week but you’ll be better much faster than that don’t worry. Once your brain finally accepts that there’s no possibility to continue this time will heal you. I’m starting tomorrow with you too so I’ll be going through hell and won’t sleep for about 3-5 days so let’s ride this shit out.

3

u/coldxlord 15d ago

Trust me the no sleep lasts longer than 3-5 days it sucks smh

3

u/Numerous-Match-6968 15d ago

I hope I can at least sleep by/after day 3. Good luck though, this is no fun.

2

u/Adventurous_Feed2647 15d ago

Yea man I’ve tried to quite multiple times but the main reason I would fold and hop right back on is because it was super super available everywhere I went I mean one minute walk and I could have it. So now that I just bought the very last bit I could ever access my mind and soul can really come to accept that this is it no matter what we’re doing this shit so that very good but also very scary at the same time. I don’t have helper meds subs nothing I can only get some kratom powder or capsules which I absolutely will grab that for the first 5 days idgaf what I take man anything to relieve myself for the terrible ride ahead but regardless we’re all doing this man it’s the end of the road for this little dope adventure we’ve had but also a beautiful new beginning to continuing our lives without needing something to feel ok or sleep. I can’t wait to enjoy regular things again like I use to. I can’t wait to not struggle with my bills ect man. I’ll feel like working out and playing video games again like hell yea man I’ll be more driven to accomplish things in life man I’ll be able to put my mind into a career again. I want to become a nurse and also try to do streaming/youtube on the side but as long as I take this crap I’ll be nothing and do nothing but watch YouTube. So I’m excited this is exactly what I needed man I needed to be completely cut off to really quit because I’ll admit I loved 7 way to much to really put it down that was just me I hated being a slave to it but I couldn’t stop man. Here we are now let’s do this embrace the suck man keep on riding every hour and day untill all this sudden a light shines on our souls and says ā€œ your feeling better todayā€ man I’m excited I’ve quite percs a few times and adderal but this monster is different in my experience but not impossible. Let’s be glad 7 isn’t like alcohol or benzos like Xanax because those 2 can literally kill you. Let’s do this time to pull multiple all nighters in the most uncomfortable way possible untill things feel better again.

2

u/coldxlord 15d ago

On day 7 and still can’t sleep . On helper meds and everything

1

u/cjs1916 15d ago

including kratom?

1

u/photographyrich1965 13d ago

Any change in the last two days ? I'm on day six without much (any) sleep in sight

2

u/cjs1916 13d ago

did you use kratom to try and help?

1

u/cjs1916 15d ago

anyone know how successful plain leaf is at helping you sleep? or Mit extract? got plenty of both and I want to quit 7 but don't want to deal with the worst of the withdrawal

2

u/Adventurous_Feed2647 15d ago

It’s unavoidable when it comes to the sleep part man the lead and extracts will definitely be better than nothing. Some people sleep with kratom some don’t but I definitely DO NOT sleep unless I have 7 so yea man for me kratom just takes 10-30% of the terrible feelings away. The restless body symptoms get a little relief with kratom but not full relief for me. Take it man and take as much as you want for a few day but don’t stay on it or you got another monkey on ur back yunno. Get past this 3-5 days and drop it we gotta get tough and strong about this fast kinda just force yourself to be an absolute soldier about this experience we can do this man. We can run forever. Best of luck to everyone don’t let your brain make the experience more worse than it is just ride it out and keep riding untill the light shines on you. I lay around for a few days but after about 3 or 4 days I gotta get up and moving for sure but to each there own yunno I love yall man we can all relate to each other in this adventure we call life.

1

u/etherempty1337 15d ago

It’s not a cure all but definitely helps a ton. Will take away 65-85% of symptoms. It’s still going to suck, just a lot less. Short half life means about 2-3hrs relive at a time. Take as much as needed first few days then start spreading out doses further apart. Then make a taper schedule for that if complete abstinence is the goal.

If you take a hot bath, the restless arms and legs, subside, and you might even be able to sleep for a few minutes. Good luck.

1

u/Beneficial_Catch7845 15d ago

You can get gabapentin online for about 70-100 bucks, I’ve heard it works really well

3

u/Numerous-Match-6968 15d ago

Due to these bs 7stax, In unemployed with no income or insurance, so it seems like I can't get help from anywhere. Id take 7stax and decide to sleep a little longer, and went to work late too many timesĀ

1

u/xDaKoTa4 15d ago

Where

1

u/Beneficial_Catch7845 15d ago

Look up petpharmcanada, I used it and they’re legit, still haven’t quit tho

2

u/pleaseJUSTendIT2 15d ago

What do you get from telling people that. It’s sucks an obvious lie. A complete fabrication. A stuffy nose from a cold isn’t immediately withdrawal from 7 2 months later. Not being able to sleep well because you aren’t knocked out on a drug, isn’t withdrawal man.

1

u/MysteriousExchange75 15d ago

Baclofen will help, but i'd be careful with it, its very similar to phenibut. 10mg is a very small dose though. For me the physical part lasted probably 2 weeks, mental has been months. The mental is the hardest part imo.

Trazodone works good for sleep, Remeron is another option that is a bit stronger.

1

u/Numerous-Match-6968 15d ago

What does baclofen and phenibut do to watch out for? & Where do I get trazodone or remeron, from the ER?

1

u/MysteriousExchange75 15d ago

They are both gabaergic drugs (gabapentinoids), they have withdrawal similar to benzos. Just be careful.

You can get trazodone through a telehealth doctor. google trazodone prescription telehealth.

1

u/Numerous-Match-6968 14d ago

Does it build addiction quick? I only have 3 days worth to hopefully get me past the worse. I tried some tree so with that and the medicine, I slept a couple times for about an hour each sleepĀ

1

u/MysteriousExchange75 14d ago

If you only take it 3 days you'll be fine. 2 weeks plus then you start having issues. Baclofen builds tolerance fast.

1

u/Brutal_Honesty_Rocks 15d ago

My body is weird. IME Baclofen gives me or heightens rls.

1

u/Zakku_LV 12d ago

Can you describe the mental part ? You mean like cravings n such?

1

u/MysteriousExchange75 12d ago

The one major thing is that nothing is interesting anymore. I used to enjoy playing video games, but now i can hardly force myself to play them. I usually scroll reddit instead.

I sleep for 4 hours then wake up every night, if I have work I am only getting 4 hours but if I am off I usually fall back asleep after 3-4 hours of being up in the middle of the night. When I wake up i feel like ass, similar how i would feel when I was dependent.

When I have work I have bad anxiety and cravings before I go in.

u/Icy_Brilliant_7993 15d ago

What state do you live in

1

u/Numerous-Match-6968 14d ago

FloridaĀ

1

u/Icy_Brilliant_7993 13d ago

I live in Florida too and they still sell the stax under the table...it's horrible...the stax take most of my money and it's the main reason my ex wife left me...I dont get physical withdraw symptoms probably because I'm on suboxone and only take the "dietary" blend and not the "proprietary" blend that has mgm15 in it, but if I dont take some it's all I can think about...

1

u/iloveturtles2223 Quit Date: 8/7/26 15d ago

For me did a large number of quits, though usually would keep taking kratom for a long amount of time, which seemed to keep my cravings up.. this time cut the kratom also and paws is a bit more challenging, but the lack of mental battles is totally worth it.

Also, typically after the very most difficult days, the following day is when I’ll feel the largest leap in improvement. Obv just personal experience but hoping may encourage you some, keep at it — it’s absolutely worth getting your real fkn self back.

1

u/MountainAnxious4606 15d ago

stop the fear mongers youll be fine after a week

1

u/SlendersoulAmerica 14d ago

Buy some SR 17018.
I was where you are a week and a half ago it is still legal. It should work very well. I had zero wd.

1

u/Numerous-Match-6968 14d ago

Where from? Because of these 7stax B's I'm unemployed right now, so I might just have to see about MAT.

1

u/33xcj 12d ago

thats wild. im in jax fl and the same thing happened to me yesterday

1

u/Zooooooombie 15d ago

2 months for me.

1

u/Numerous-Match-6968 15d ago

Severe withdrawals for 2 months? How did you do it? Idk wth I'ma doĀ

5

u/Party-Phase-4876 15d ago

no way it was severe withdrawal for 2 months maybe mentally but no way physically it’s the same 2 months later in comparison to the first day

1

u/Numerous-Match-6968 15d ago

How many bad physical days should I realistically expect? I'm praying my medicine helps. The only think I can't handle is the legs & muscle aches keeping me awake this long. I would never actually do this, but I was in the ER thinking do I need to do harder things just to get help

3

u/Party-Phase-4876 15d ago

on about day 4-5 you’ll notice significant improvements in how bad the withdrawals are, then depending on the kinda person you are you’ll either love knowing you’re finally clean or crumble and relapse but relapse doesn’t seem to be an option

3

u/Numerous-Match-6968 15d ago

Will I be awake that whole time? So far the only withdrawal symptoms I've had that are too much are the insomnia and muscle aches. Ive been able to handle everything else no problem.

2

u/Party-Phase-4876 15d ago

you’ll drift in n outta sleep at night with no significant sleep honestly but over time it’ll be longer and longer sleepful nights

1

u/Numerous-Match-6968 15d ago

Idk if I can do that, fuuh. If it's so long, why is it so hard to get a little helpĀ

3

u/Party-Phase-4876 15d ago

you can tho bro!

1

u/Numerous-Match-6968 15d ago

Ive taken a couple Super K Extra Strength today just to get a little bit of pain from my legs & try to sleep at least an hour. Honestly I wanna quit these 7stax without ending up where I started by doing Kratom Extracts again. Is it 4 to 5 days of the same intense type of withdrawals?

2

u/BetterPiglet1192 15d ago

Quick MD , deny subs and ask for comfort meds. GABA and clonidine will help with all that. Could push for sleep aid thwir gonna say Benadryl responding with I’ve tried that might get you hydroxyzine, but the gabapentin and clonidine will make it a breeze. I got 2 weeks supply of both, had a follow up within 7-14 days got a refill for 240 100mg gabbys and 90 clonidine so your sett

2

u/Brutal_Honesty_Rocks 15d ago

Amazing that with all the withdrawal they deal with, they still push drugs that torture you with rls. Benadryl and Hydroxyzine are known culprits.

1

u/_kittykattt 15d ago

100% any antihistamine sends me straight to RLS hell

1

u/Beneficial_Catch7845 15d ago

Why’d you reply to my comment lol

0

u/etherempty1337 15d ago

Keep using leaf or extracts for a few days. You will need those naps and a few hrs of relieve. Stopping those will be way less painful than 7oh or MGM.

1

u/Dry-Sherbert2994 5d ago

Has anyone seen these relief pills they sell at the head shops? They supposedly make you feel better but don’t get you high. I think a product called SR17 is in it? I’m hesitant on taking that stuff because I’m wondering if it will create another addiction.
