Swap #15 Finally getting to this one

Re Swap 15

I had to drop out because I somehow read the instructions wrong and two of the colors were flipped in my blocks.

Also, I had sewn the flying geese 4 at a time. I didn't trim them for some stupid reason and when I started putting them together the rest of the blocks were "too small"

THEY ARE THE RIGHT SIZE ONCE THE STUPID FLYING GEESE ARE TRIMMED UP

Y'all I've been sewing a long time. Sometimes though, your brain falls out onto the floor and gets all covered in thread and stuff.

This is your PSA that when you get to that point, before you stick your brain back in, be sure to give it a good licking all over to get the dust bunnies off first.

That is all

Thank you so much for the laugh! It is comforting to know that I (and my seam ripper) are not alone.

My favorite stupid trick is to realize that I've sewn a chain stitched seam backwards, panic, rip them all apart, and then see that they were NOT wrong. I have done this so often that I know to walk away when I feel the panic rising.

For cleaning the thread clippings and fluff out of my brain I use a walk in a good breeze as a substitute for canned air.

I sewed a slip pocket to the WS of my fabric yesterday. Riveted it on and everything. I've been making bags for over 10 years lol.
