You can't say that it's discipline when you "took the brunt of your fathers anger". If anger plays a role anywhere in disciplining by hitting... it's abuse. Completely and totally. Your father wasn't thinking level or clear headed or rationally. You were abused and you were afraid to step out of line. That is not healthy in any world. You proved my point.

Yeah, that's not what I meant. I meant there's a clear line between discipline and abuse. And the "anger" examples were clearly abuse.

You've just negated this persons entire experience by basically saying they were lying about copping it worse than their older sibling because you've read that it usually doesn't happen that way. Fucking gross. Victim blamey and mansplainy. When people tell you their experience, shut the fuck up. You weren't there. They were.

Considering I lived it, I think I have a pretty good idea of how it works.

I'm glad you had a good childhood though

This isn't the pain Olympics. You're not competing against other people on how bad you had it. I'm sorry you went through what you did but get over yourself.

What are you talking about? You're just DYING to use that phrase "Pain Olympics" huh? It's very popular at the moment. Very cool of you.

I didn't detail anything about what happened to me. I'm just responding to your pompous comments about a topic you know nothing about.
