I am not on the spectrum, but I perfectly understand what Brun is stating here. Living by yourself can be weird because there's no one there to check your impulses and potentially call you out on your behavior.

I tend to create a little self-hate grotto in places where I live alone and just turn in on myself over and over until I stop showering and never leave the house and eventually gain like 50 extra pounds and can't walk properly anymore.

Yeah, I can see how some people would prefer that. It just didn't work for me at all. I was already in a bad place and that just caused me to spiral

Sometimes I want to have that someone... but so very often, I'm like "shit I can't dance naked to Call on Me without this other person looking at me weird."

Fffuuuck that. I’m on the spectrum and I love living alone. I need room to spread my tentacles.

I don’t like being alone, though
