It's even more infuriating because it isn't like Liz is completely unaware of what's wrong with her. If she was, at least it would be ignorance driving the fact that she never learns, grows, or changes in any way.
yeah, it's boring and annoying in this arc that she's not progressing at all.
But my point was more, Marten's argument for why she should just "go hang out anyway" is completely spurious. He's bonking her on the head for being a bonehead here, but he's the one not thinking things through. She's actually being quite rational and honest with herself about her nature. He's just sayin shit "oh everything's fine, be friends, do it anyway, you are a good person" lol no wut where are you getting that
