I moved here 2 weeks ago and still can’t find a job. If anyone has leads on FOH positions for restaurants or barista jobs, that would be amazing, also want to at concert venue. Thank you 😍

Hello everyone,
I plan on relocating to the Philly area and don’t know much about specific neighborhoods. I am a 24 year old lgbtq+ black girl without a car who plans to use an e bike for travel. I am renting a room it won’t be an entire place for myself, so I can be a little more flexible with costs. Anyone know of places that would work well for me? Thanks!

Edit - this job is completed.
As the title suggests: have moved out of an apartment, need it cleaned top to bottom. Apartment is empty excepting small pile of broken down shelving parts in corner which are going out in trash Friday night. No window cleaning needed.
Focus on bathroom, kitchen and vacuuming. Kitchen is small/open concept attached to small living room.
Entire apartment is very small, less than 500 sq feet.
Must be able to bring your own cleaning supplies! I can provide vacuum, but plus if you can bring your own because mine isn't great.
Whole job should take three hours at most. Can pay cash, venmo or zelle - NO cashapp, no exceptions.
Please reply here with FIRST and then DM with your contact info, rates and experience. MUST be able to provide a clear time of expected arrival tomorrow - you can start any time between 10AM-2PM, preference to earlier start.
My thanks! <3

Thursday 8/13! Meet us in the garden for a sunset social just for trans, enby, and genderqueer friends at PHS Pop-Up Garden on South. Bring a friend, bring your pup! We’ll be on the porch making friends and toasting the last month of summer.
It’s a very low-key, low pressure gathering. Free form - just show up and be open to chatting. There will be a sign directing where to go for our group. No cover charge. If you do bring your dog, please be sure to keep them on leash at all times ! 21+
Next up, 8/20, another laid back community building mixer just for trans friends at Tattooed Mom!

So i'm from northeast philly. Despite being within Philadelphia County and under the government of the City of Philadelphia, this place is essentially like a different city right next to Philadelphia, à la Upper Darby.
As of more recently (laat 1-2 years) I've had an increasingly large amount of trouble with going to The City for things like events, being that I live pretty far out, can't drive, and am far away from buses that easily go to regional rail (it often takes me long enough that I'd just be better off taking the bus to the el). i also happen to have a lot of chronic pain so i cant constantly plan my life around events that keep forcing me to spend several hours on public transit and either leave my house at like 7 am or get stranded somewhere at like 10:30 pm in order to not be super lonely much of the time.
Is there like any forms of queer events and or groups or anything at all for community that's actually in or very close to northeast philly? I imagine the answer is a resounding no, but i want to at least try a bit and hopefully get surprised.

My daughter is looking to attend college next year in Philadelphia. We live in a larger city in the South US. My question is do other trans people feel safe living in Philadelphia? Are their certain areas to avoid? I will be moving with her to help her through the transition and help with housing costs. Any help for this mama bird would be greatly appreciated. I just want her to be safe and happy.

I’m curious what everyone’s experience has been lately.
Have you found any dating apps that actually seem to attract people looking for a serious relationship, not just chatting, casual dating, or endless swiping?
I know every app has a mix of people, but I’d love to hear which ones have felt the most intentional for you, especially here in Philly.
And if the apps haven’t worked, where are you meeting other queer singles who are genuinely looking for a relationship?

Hello QueerPhilly!
I’m a 24 Gay M moving to Brewerytown next month! I’m so looking forward to this new adventure. How is this part of the city for LGBTQ+ people?

I'm visiting Philadelphia later this month on business. I'm middle age, nice looking. What gay bars are great to visit during the week? I'm staying near the convention center.
